Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman) and Schofield (George MacKay) are lance corporals and messengers who must cross enemy territory to deliver a message that will save hundreds of British soldiers, including Blake's brother, from charging into a deadly German trap. These men, like the rest of their company, had been lulled into a false sense of security by what appears to have been a German retreat, and an expected "big push" from the Allied forces to clinch victory. Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Sam Mendes (Skyfall, American Beauty), and stunningly shot by Oscar-winning cinematographer Roger Deakins (Blade Runner 2049, Skyfall) in what appears to be one long take, this engrossing epic also stars Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Claire Duburcq, Colin Firth, and Benedict Cumberbatch. Solutions to the climate crisis are being implemented and actions taken every day around the world, from rebuilding coastal estuaries to bringing solar power to remote communities. We don't wish to ignore the large-scale solutions that must be sought through policy and governmental resourcing. But we believe in the importance of lifting up everyone playing a part in restoring balance to our planet- the engineers, scientists, builders, thought leaders, and activists who are chipping away every day at this monumental challenge. TRAILER Oct February 7 - 13 in Woodstock: Bombshell February 7 - 13: Fri 7:30 Sat 4:30 Sun 2:00 Mon-Tue 7:30 Wed NO SHOW Thur 7:30 (USA / 2019 / Directed by Jay Roach) Academy Award winners Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman play two of the on-air personalities of Fox News (Megyn Kelly & Gretchen Carlson), and Margot Robbie is a composite character, an ambitious new hire in this powerful movie about how the CEO of Fox News, Roger Ailes, was finally dethroned due to his sexual harassment of at least 23 women. John Lithgow is totally intimidating as media guru Ailes, who, before creating Fox News, was a media consultant for Republican presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush, and for Rudy Giuliani's first mayoral campaign. In 2016, he advised the Donald Trump campaign, and assisted with debate preparation. At Fox while spinning gold for the Murdochs, he seemed untouchable until he wasn't as many women took the risk to go public with their stories. BOMBSHELL is a revealing look inside this most powerful and controversial media empire, and the explosive story of the women who brought down the infamous man who created it.
