He shall return in robes of white, The blazing Son shall pierce the night. And I will rise among the saints, My gaze transfixed on Jesus’ face.(Refrain) Silent Confession & General Prayer of Confession

O Lord, we know that because You are our Shepherd, we have everything we need; yet we worry and want more. You make us lie down in green pastures, leading us beside quiet waters; yet our hearts are so often restless. You restore our souls; but we want to be self-sufficient and help ourselves. You lead us in paths of righteousness; but we turn our own way. You are present with us even in the deepest darkness; yet we would rather take comfort in our circumstances than in Your presence. O Father, forgive us our sins and teach us again that we can never be satisfied until we are full of Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.
