27 JAN CORONAVIRUS CASES IN SOMERSET 16, 417 (MENDIP – 2883) 2021 (Public Health /GOV.UK) --- SEW BUNTIFUL --- Villages around Wells – of course you’re invited!!

It's is a Community Arts project to celebrate Spring in Wells with a display of home crafted bunting of all descriptions. We hope that together we can buntify the City Centre as well as buntify houses and streets all around Wells.

We hope that people will feel the project is just right for them during these Lockdown weeks, and that while crafting in our own homes, we will feel more connected with our community as we work collectively towards a great Spring display ! Obviously we are making sure that all aspects of Sew Buntiful are Covid compliant.

There will be plenty of opportunities to meet up (via Zoom of course) throughout February and March for general get togethers as well as attend Sew Buntiful workshops, in addition there will be regular email updates. All anyone needs to do to access these is to complete the registration form which can be found here: bit.ly/buntifulwells. The registration form also helps us with an estimate of how much bunting is being made.

Offline users: register your interest by contacting Project Factory on 01749 372234 and you will be kept up to date with the project through phone calls from one of the Bunting Ambassadors. You may fancy being a Bunting Ambassador yourself !

More Online: https://www.facebook.com/Wellscommunitybunting/ or at www.projectfactory.uk/events You can find it on Lets Do It Wells here: https://www.letsdoitwells.com/get-involved/an-hour-or- two/make-a-swag-of-bunting/32/ In addition you can always contact the project by email through [email protected] VOLUNTARY, COMMUNITY & SOCIAL ENTERPRISE Culture Recovery Fund: rebuilding for cultural organisations & heritage sites April-June 2021 (Arts Council / HM Govt.) No 67 Bus: Notice of temporary Wookey termination There is an upcoming road closure at Panborough (details below) which will unfortunately affect Service 67 for the duration. Mendip Community Transport (MCT) will be terminating at Wookey, as there isn’t a viable alternative route around the closure. Between the 18th and 29th January, there will not be a connecting service in Wedmore. This will also affect the Saturday service on the 23rd January. MCT will put up notices on the bus, so passengers are aware. If any key workers are affected, we will arrange alternative transport during the closure.
