She was making her 2009 seasonal and turf debut in the Classic and won in very fine style. She defeated red hot favourite RAINBOW VIEW into fifth place. She was always prominent and drew away in the final furlong to win the fillies mile by a length and a half. Her rivals, dual Group 3 winner CUIS GHAIRE took second spot from Group 3 Fred Darling Stakes winner SUPER SLEUTH. GHANAATI proved this win was no fluke when she lined up as favourite for a very hot contest in the G1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.
