Cast & Costumes CAST & COSTUMES: DO NOT RENT OR BUY ANYTHING UNTIL IT HAS BEEN APPROVED! MANY OF THE COSTUMES CAN BE FOUND USING LINKS BELOW Aunt Em: Look as though has been working on farm. High collared blouse and shin length skirt, or high collared prairie dress (shin length) pinafore apron. Oversized sweater or shawl. Glasses and a bonnet (optional) All in dull shades of earth tones. Black/brown shoes (character shoes, saddle shoes or Mary Janes) and Ruby shoes. White bobby socks. Blue ribbon for hair. Maybe a big sweater and apron of dingy color to put over blue dress so appears more colorful upon entering OZ. Props: Basket to carry throughout yellow brick road travels (we will provide). Old suitcase for when running away. Elmira Gulch: Black/grey conservative dress. Long dress (black or dark grey) with high button up neck or high-collared blouse (white) with floor length black skirt. Hair back tight bun, hat. Black shoes Optional: spectacles. (Props: black bike with basket will be supplied.) Professor Marvel: Earth tone 3 piece suit with vest, string tie, top hat, can grey hair. (Fortune telling globe and large turban will be supplied) Mayor of Munchkinland: Green tailcoat, bright vest, pants or knickers, shirt, oversized bow tie, top hat, socks to match outfit *Coroner: Royal Blue or Purple (Solid color) floor length cloak or cape and flat brimmed hat with rolled sides. Have fun with facial hair!! (Goatee and mustache) if you would like. (Wicked Witch death certificate supplied.) Barrister: Long (red) robe and white tab collar (Essex shirt).Or colorful coat, vest, pants, Essex shirt, ascot. Colorful briefcase. Wicked Witch of the West: Black pointy hat, long black witch dress, black cape, striped socks/tights, black shoes with laces. Find green gloves or witch hands that are close in color to witch-green face color. (Green face makeup and broom will be supplied. Prop: Hour glass will be supplied.) Scarecrow: (Rental or buy online?) Brown patched pants, (green) patched shirt with straw trim, distressed work gloves, burlap hood with straw, black distressed scarecrow hat, rope waist tie. For the head, you can also use a brown hooded shirt that is cut off at the shoulders. Prop: We will supply: Doctor of Thinkology! (Wrist and collar with straw and Face make-up will be supplied) Tin Man: (Rental or buy online?) Silver barrel body, jointed leg pieces and arm pieces, gloves, funnel headpiece mounted on hood, silver undergarments. (Axe, oil can, Face make-up ~incl chin and nose pieces~ and heart will be supplied.) Cowardly Lion: (Rental or buy online?) Full plush fur body with long tail, open faced fur head piece with mane, matching mitts and foot covers. (Face makeup, badge of courage, regal robe, curly wig, and crown supplied.) Jitterbugs: Work together to create a costume so that you all are the same. Possible: Black leotard/ red shorts with suspenders, black tights black jazz shoes, white gloves, headpiece with Antennae (Mrs. Cestaro will help coordinate) People of Oz: Various shades of bright greens: dresses, pants, shirts, vests, blouses, skirts, socks, tights, headwear all in shades of green. *Emerald City Guard: Green uniform coat or same green cape as Doorman (talk to each other!), wide black belt, black pants, shirt, green big fluffy green hat (busby), green furry mitts *Emerald City Doorman: High collared green cape, shirt, green tie, black pants green fluffy gloves, big fluffy green hat (busby) (Optional: mustache… look at pictures on line of the Oz Emerald City Doorman) (see first link below for costume) The Wizard: Green suit (morning suit), vest, suspenders, Essex shirt, ascot, top hat Crows: Black Bodies: (leotards/tights/sweats/turtlenecks… think about it… doing it together.) beak, gold & black stripe socks, gloves possibly something that when your arms are up looks like wings. Discuss together and come up with something fun and creative! *Nikko and Flying Monkeys: We will provide costume as this will be a ‘second’ character. You may possibly need to get white gloves. Isobel produced nothing, but Valery managed to void a significant amount of pee and a moderate-size soft stool. They were wiped, diapered, given pacifiers and tucked into their cribs. During the night Sylvia checked and found Isobel’s diaper was nearly saturated, so she changed her older daughter. Then she decided to prophylactically change Valery’s diaper. Monday morning she let her girls sleep late in the nursery. Shortly before 8:00 A.M. she carried Valery and led Isobel downstairs while they were still wearing their night diapers and Onesies. She had just buckled the girls into their highchairs when the tallish and beautiful twenty-six year-old Nanny Carmen arrived. Sylvia had a bowl of the Pablum/Metamucil mixture in each hand. Hurriedly she put those on the respective highchair trays so she could properly greet Nanny Carmen. What impressed Carmen was that without fuss the smaller Valery picked up her own spoon and began eating her mixture. The far larger Isobel stared at her. After an exchange of greetings Sylvia hurried to bring Valery a Sippy cup of milk and a baby bottle of milk to Isobel.
