Zeitronix Throttle Controlled Air Conditioner TCAC for 1G DSM Zeitronix Throttle Controlled Air Conditioner TCAC for 1G DSM Are you reaching for AC switch when you floor the throttle to relieve the engine from additional load and gain extra HP? TCAC turns off the Air Conditioner Compressor every time the throttle is pressed over 60% and keeps it off for an additional 6 seconds after the throttle position comes back bellow 60%. Long enough to let you change gear and accelerate again, also allowing RPM to drop to the lower level before the AC clutch engages again when you begin cursing. TCAC controls both FULL AC and ECONO modes as well as amber and green light indicators of the Air Conditioner Switch. TCAC INSTALATION Connect TCAC RED wire to fusable +12V, the BLACK wire to ground and the WHITE wire to a signal form a Throttle Position Sensor. Cut the WHITE/BLACK wire at pin #1 of the Air Conditioner Switch Connector leaving approximately 0.5” to 1” of wire at the connector. Connect the ORANGE TCAC wire to the harness side of the WHITE/BLACK wire. Connect the GREEN TCAC wire to the connector side of the WHITE/BLACK wire. For 1G DSM dashboard disassembly refer to the 1G DSM service manual. 1G DSM ECU Connectors. Pin # 19 (GREEN/WHITE wire) is a TPS signal. All connectors are shown from the wiring harness view. Visit www.zeitronix.com for additional installation tips. 60% throttle position cut off may vary for different cars. Typically the tolerance is +-5%. Time delay is typically 6s +-0.5s. The wiring instructions are for 90-94 Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser and 91-92 Mitsubishi Galant VR4. The AC Control Unit is engaging the AC compressor clutch based on AC system pressure as well as inlet and outlet air temperature. TCAC adds to those variables a throttle position..

DSM became a result of the lasting past relationship between Mitsubishi and Chrysler that dated back to 1970 when Mitsubishi was able to sell their first products in the United States through Chrysler. DSM became a 50/50 joint venture between both companies, splitting both investment and profits equally. The facility was described as representing the best in Japanese and American plant technology to help produce high class automobiles. DSM also helped provide almost three thousand jobs in production and management Potential employees had to compelte a three month training program before beginning work. Mitsubishi and Chrysler choose Bloomington-Normal area due to the to multiple interstate highways and along with easy access to railroads and air transport. DSM started to produce three new kinds of vehicles: the Mitsubishi Eclipse, the Plymouth Laser, and the Eagle Talon during its first few years and the 100,000th car rolled off the line on January 22, 1990. In 1991, Mitsubishi took sole ownership of the plant by purchasing Chrysler’s interest. By 1995, Mitsubishi had renamed DSM to Mitsubishi Motors Manufacturing of America (MMMA) reflecting Mitsubishi's total ownership.

  • Cars and Trucks 13-Apr-12
Year/Model Interchange List -- All Makes -- Cars and Trucks 13-Apr-12 PLEASE OTE: This will be the last year for free distribution of the list in this form. Starting late spring 2012, the database will be searchable on the Scalia Safety Engineering website at http://www.scaliaanderson.com/clones with a subscription fee of $50/year. Suggestions for using the YEAR/MODEL ITERCHAGE LIST (Clones/Sisters List): This list is created for researching primarily frontal impact tests. The first year produced may contain a reference to which vehicle the subject vehicle was based on, if applicable, or Whether the subject vehicle was a restyle of an existing vehicle. This may be of assistance in trying to find a greater sample of similar vehicles. This information will generally be listed OLY in the first year of production. Remember that if you are concerned with yaw inertia or side impact, watch out for different wheelbases on the same model. These lists were produced with frontal crush data in mind. Body=Type of construction. f=frame/body, u=unitized Drive=Drive wheels. f=front, r=rear, 4 or a=all Body Styles: 2d=2door,3d=2door Hatchback,4d=4door,5d=4door Hatchback,SW=Station Wagon WB=Wheelbase. When more than one is listed, they correspond to the order of body style listing. Please also allow me the standard disclaimer that I do not in any way guarantee the accuracy of these lists. Some similarities represent my own estimates, and some of the older years are by memory. Most are pulled from specifications tables which may contain inaccuracies all their own.
