Compiled 19th century. 1 volume Former reference: MS 00017 CLC/283/MS00020 The Lord Mayors' Autograph Book: containing 1659 - ? Available only with advance the original signature of every Lord Mayor from notice and at the discretion of the 1659 to date, with a representation of their LMA Director coats of arms. The autographs from 1659 to 1845 are pasted in, but from 1846 it has been the custom for each successive Lord Mayor to enter his signature in the book personally. At the front are several portraits of Lord Mayors and illustrations and mayoral ceremonies. The book was formerly part of the antiquarian collection of Samuel Gregory of the Lord Mayor's Court Office, but is now maintained by the City of London Corporation which purchased the volume in 1859 1 volume in a box Former reference: MS 00020. CLC/283/MS00025 Minutes of the committee for conducting the 1791 - 1801 Item no longer in collection entertainment at Guildhall on Lord Mayor's day. 1 volume Former reference: MS 00025 CLC/283/MS00100 Memorandum book relating to the mayoralty of 1756 - 7, 1784 Marshe Dickinson; comprising notes on the office of Lord Mayor, on mayoral ceremonies, and on duties and salaries of City officers, etc.; followed by a diary of Dickinson's year of office, chiefly recording mayoralty business but including some personal matters. In two different hands, one formal, the other hurried; both apparently Dickinson's. Tipped in at the back are some papers of Daines Barrington of the Temple relating to public health, widening of streets etc, 1784. Undated, first third of the 17th century. Alphabetical index in front (not foliated). Arms to 1621 mainly in colour; the last four pages (ff.84-5) only pencilled, with writing in a different hand. Fulham House, 8 July 1802. This letter is a stray from the Corporation records. It is endorsed "Read in Common Council 11 July 1806" [sic] and a full transcript appears in Journal 83 ff.176v-177v. It is marked "London 276.15/-" in pencil, and was probably purchased by the parish of St Bartholomew the Great from a dealer. 1 item in envelope Former reference: MS 21040 CLC/283/MS24547 List of Lord Mayors, 1189-1853, and of sheriffs, [1736 - 1853?] 1188-1851, of the City of London,"extracted from the City Archives". With a note, tipped in at front, about Henry Fitz-Alwyn, Lord Mayor, 1189-1212. Compiled mid 18th century, with later additions.
