Good Turn for Nature Council Fall Service Initiative September 25 to October 24, 2021

Good Turn for Nature engages Scouts directly in acts of conservation. Join in activities at participating parks, nature centers or natural areas to get outside and learn about the importance of caring for nature. Conservation activities may include: trail maintenance, tree planting, invasive species removal, bird identification, trash cleanup and more!

Overnight Camping Option This campout opportunity is for Scouts BSA Units of 10+ people who Participating Parks complete a Good Turn for Nature service project with a minimum of 4 work hours. The unit will receive a ‘pay one night, get one night free’ camping trip at the host site where the service project is conducted. In partnership with the DNR, select state parks are offering this option. McCormick’s Creek State Park Lieber State Rec. Area Note: Camping options may be provided for Cub Scout units who Whitewater Memorial would like to do bigger projects, but the criteria of 10+ people and a State Park minimum of 4 work hours remains the same. Children of Indiana Nature Park Participating Scouts will receive a Nature IN-Deed with geographic coordinates to their personal place in the Children of Indiana Nature Park. Partners of this initiative include the Indiana DNR, Cope Environmental Center www.ilovemyland.org and The Nature Conservancy.
