NEW Cookie Permission Forms for 2019-2020

A new version of the Cookie Permission and Responsibility Agreement is available. This is the only version that should be used and distributed to Girl Scouts in your troop for the coming year. All older versions are not valid. The Cookie Permission and Responsibility Agreement must be completely filled out, signed by the Girl Scout's guardian, and returned by December 1st to GSSI.

North Central and North Dubois Service Units both won $50 and a “Party in a Box” for their areas, with over 30% of their girls and adults renewing during April and May. North Warrick Junior Troop 177, Southwest Warrick Junior Troop 404, and North West Brownie Troop 640 won $50 each for renewing 80% or more of their girls plus two co-leaders! Congratulations! Honor and Golden Honor Application is now online! Deadline is August 1st!

This form is used for troops that achieve the Essential Elements of a Girl Scout Troop, and provide overall excellence in troop management and programming in a given year. To achieve this honor, leaders and girls must work in partnership with each other, other troops, Service Team, and council staff. See that form here!

As a member of the prestigious Girl Media Team, you will have a very important role at GSSI. Together with other girl members across eleven counties, you will serve as a spokesperson for GSSI and the Girl Scout movement!

While serving as an ambassador for the brand, you will also answer questions about your own Girl Scout experience and what it really means to be a G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-Taker, Leader™).

Plus (with permission from your parent/guardian), you may be asked to share provided content about Girl Scouts’ mission, council events, new national programming, etc… on your personal social media accounts and participate in video and photo shoots that may be used by GSSI to tell our local story! Celebrate Girl Scouts Love State Parks with Patoka Lake on July 13 and 14! Archery lessons are available on July 13th only. There are also programs available on Sunday, July 14: forest plant ID, wilderness survival, backpacking, beginner kayaking lessons, and more. Ariel & Friends Family Swim Party Sat, Jul 20, 7:30-10:00 PM CST Location: Burdette Park Aquatic Center Cost: $5 (children two and under are free) What: Slides, Swimming, Ariel, & More! Join the fun with Girl Scouts at Burdette Park Aquatics with the entire family! Girls in grades K-12 who are not currently Girl Scouts can join now for $35 (good through 9/30/2020). Pool has been rented out for this event and only those who register may attend. Concessions and raft rental will be available for purchase (not included in registration fee). Slides will be open. Gates will open at 7:30 pm, but check- in will begin at 7pm. There will be photo opportunities with Ariel and SURPRISE guests! June 21, 2019 Outdoor Program & Camp Resident & Day Camps

• Join the Troop Survivor Camporee! July 13 (9:30 am check in time) – July 14 (11 am check out time); deadline to register is Monday, July 1. This is a great opportunity for troops that have not been to Camp Koch before or for troops that would like more experience in camping! At the Troop Camporee, you will have the opportunity to check out all that Camp Koch has to offer: swimming, kayaking, hiking, camp fire songs, survivor games, and more!

This is also a time for troop leaders to get Troop Camp certified. While they participate in these activities, they will get the training needed to take girls on more camping experiences.

• Vanderburgh/Posey Day Camp, July 8-11; 9am-4pm All Vanderburgh/Posey Girl Scouts entering 1st-8th grades in fall 2019 are invited to join us for archery, water games, crafts, and more! Leaders, parents, and friends of Girl Scouting are encouraged to volunteer! Deadline to mail-in registration is DUE TODAY. • North Dubois County Day Camp, July 8, 8am - 3pm Location: Camp Carnes An experience for girls from different troops and groups to meet outdoors each day. Girls attend as individuals and are placed in units according to their grade in the fall. At day camp, you’ll try new crafts, sing songs, and discover the wonders of the outdoors. You'll learn how to live with nature, play games, experiment with science, math, and technology, make new friends, and make lasting memories!
