How we MANAGE our Core Services defi nes the values of our COMMUNITY. Do we care for our elderly and disadvantaged? Do we ensure proper EDUCATION for our children? Are our EMERGENCY SERVICES properly staff ed and funded?

Our population has EXPLODED over the last 2 decades, causing real concerns over the current TRAJECTORY of our Core Services, and we are struggling to adapt. It seems every week Fluvanna is making the news headlines for all the wrong reasons:

-> Continued cuts to education, high class sizes, failing test scores, reduced curriculum and staffi ng -> Slashed funding of services for Fluvanna seniors (e.g., JABA and JAUNT) -> Emergency services failing inspections, and slow response times during off hours -> Unclear infrastructure plans to attract businesses and relieve homeowners of bearing full tax burden

Are we being penny wise and pound foolish, by cutting Core Services to the bone only to see our property values stagnate and our neighbors move away?
