PRESIDENZA DELLA REPUBBLICA Cerimoniale DIARIO STORICO PRESIDENZA DELLA REPUBBLICA Cerimoniale DIARIO STORICO Intervento del Presidente della Repubblica all’Ambasciata d’Italia presso la Santa Sede, in occasione della ricorrenza della firma dei Patti Lateranensi e dell’Accordo di Revisione del Concordato. ROMA - Palazzo Borromeo – venerdì 18 febbraio 2011 ------------ 16.45 Il Consigliere per gli Affari Diplomatici lascia in auto il Palazzo del Quirinale per recarsi a Palazzo Borromeo. 17.00 Il Presidente della Repubblica, accompagnato dalla Signora Napolitano, lascia in auto il Palazzo del Quirinale (Cortile della Dataria). (Scorta di Corazzieri in motocicletta). L’auto presidenziale è seguita da una vettura con il Segretario Generale e la Consorte. 17.10 Il corteo presidenziale giunge a Palazzo Borromeo (Via delle Belle Arti, 2). Discesi dalla vettura nel Piazzale antistante il Palazzo, il Presidente della Repubblica e la Signora Napolitano sono accolti dall’Ambasciatore d’Italia presso la Santa Sede, con la Consorte, ed accompagnati – salendo con l’ascensore – nella Sala delle Bandiere, dove sono ad attendere i Presidenti del Senato della Repubblica, della Camera dei Deputati e della Corte Costituzionale, accompagnati dai rispettivi Segretari Generali. Subito dopo, il Capo dello Stato, unitamente alle Personalità sopracitate, fa ingresso nella Sala del Pianoforte, dove sono in precedenza convenuti i componenti le delegazioni vaticana ed italiana (allegato 1). Contemporaneamente la Signora Napolitano, unitamente alla Signora Marra, viene accompagnata dalla Consorte dell’Ambasciatore d’Italia presso la Santa Sede in un Salotto di rappresentanza, dove s’intrattiene con alcune Ospiti. 17.30 Vengono introdotti nella Sala del Pianoforte i Cardinali e le altre Autorità della Santa Sede presenti, che si intrattengono con il Presidente della Repubblica ed i componenti le delegazioni vaticana ed italiana. Al termine dei colloqui fanno ingresso nella sala eminenti Personalità italiane (allegato 2). Successivamente, il Presidente della Repubblica lascia la Sala del Pianoforte e, accompagnato dall’Ambasciatore d’Italia presso la Santa Sede, si reca, unitamente alla Signora Napolitano - a cui si è nel frattempo ricongiunto - nella sala attigua al Salotto di rappresentanza dove sono esposte la “Trinità” di Lorenzo Lotto e la “Santa Lucia” del Maestro dell’Osservanza, illustrate rispettivamente dal Prof. Giovanni C.F. Villa -Docente di Storia dell’Arte moderna all’Università degli Studi di Bergamo e dal Dott. Gianni Mazzoni Membro della Commissione Opere d’arte della Fondazione “Monte dei Paschi di Siena”. Subito dopo il Capo dello Stato e la Signora Napolitano si recano nel Salotto Azzurro dove sono esposti due volumi sui Musei Vaticani, prodotti dall’Enciclopedia Italiana, commentati dal Direttore dei Musei Vaticani, Dott. Antonio Paolucci ed al termine si recano verso l’ascensore, attraversando le sale di rappresentanza dove si intrattengono a salutare gli invitati al ricevimento. 18.15 Quindi il Capo dello Stato viene accompagnato, in un salotto di rappresentanza ove si intrattiene a colloquio con il Ministro degli Affari Esteri, On. Franco Frattini. La Signora Napolitano, unitamente al Segretario Generale della Presidenza della Repubblica con la consorte, lascia in auto Palazzo Borromeo per far rientro al Palazzo del Quirinale. Al termine, il Presidente della Repubblica viene accompagnato con le stesse modalità dell’arrivo e prende posto in auto per fare rientro a Palazzo del Quirinale. (Scorta di Corazzieri in motocicletta). 18.50 Il Presidente della Repubblica giunge al Palazzo del Quirinale. Following the grant of the required recognitio by the Congregation for Bishops on December 8, 2002, the Essential Norms were promulgated by the President of the same Conference on December 12, 2002. Thereafter, on June 17, 2005, the members of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops approved a revised text of the Essential Norms. By a decree dated January 1, 2006, and signed by His Eminence, Giovanni Battista Cardinal Re, Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, and His Excellency, the Most Reverend Francesco Monterisi, Secretary of the same Congregation, the 19 recognitio originally granted to the Essential Norms of 2002 was extended to the revised version donec aliter provideatur. As President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, I therefore decree the promulgation of the Essential Norms of June 17, 2005. The process of conclave is a matter of ecclesiastical law and has been subject to change and refinement over the centuries, and at one time it was the Roman populace, clergy and laity alike, who elected the pope by acclamation, but later on, this was delegated to just the cardinals. The present conclave rules are described in detail by the Apostolic Constitution, Universi Dominici gregis, promulgated by Pope John Paul II on February 22, 1996. On April 18th, the morning of the opening day of the conclave, the cardinals assembled in St. Peter’s Basilica for Mass celebrated for the conclave’s intention.     The Holy See BENEDICT XVI GENERAL AUDIENCE Saint Peter's Square Wednesday, 20 October 2010 Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Dear Brothers and Sisters, Today I would like to speak to you about one of the women of the Middle Ages who inspired the greatest admiration; she is St Elizabeth of Hungary, also called St Elizabeth of Thuringia. Elizabeth was born in 1207; historians dispute her birthplace. Her father was Andrew ii, the rich and powerful King of Hungary. To reinforce political ties he had married the German Countess Gertrude of Andechs-Meran, sister of St Hedwig who was wife to the Duke of Silesia. Elizabeth, together with her sister and three brothers, spent only the first four years of her childhood at the Hungarian court. She liked playing, music and dancing; she recited her prayers faithfully and already showed special attention to the poor, whom she helped with a kind word or an affectionate gesture. Her happy childhood was suddenly interrupted when some knights arrived from distant Thuringia to escort her to her new residence in Central Germany. In fact, complying with the customs of that time, Elizabeth's father had arranged for her to become a Princess of Thuringia. The Landgrave or Count of this region was one of the richest and most influential sovereigns in Europe at the beginning of the 13th century and his castle was a centre of magnificence and culture. 2 However, the festivities and apparent glory concealed the ambition of feudal princes who were frequently warring with each other and in conflict with the royal and imperial authorities.

Con la perdita del Regno, l’Ordine Costantiniano non è più il “braccio armato” della Real Casa, ma è pur sempre un valido strumento che opera in campo assistenziale e culturale, da sempre legato alla Famiglia di Borbone di cui segue le direttive.
