The MTSG held their annual charity fundraiser last month in aid of Helping Uganda Schools (HUGS), a charity which their Chair, Charlotte Brinsley, is a trustee of. The event was in con- junction with the College of Law and was a chance for the LPC students to network with Manchester Trainees and gain a useful insight.

The theme of the evening was a traditional fun fair and attendees enjoyed their time on the pop up 'hook a duck' and spent lots of pennies on the delicious candy buffet provided by Hey Little Cupcake. In total over £450 was raised for the Charity which will go along way in helping the children in Uganda gain access to the education they so desperately desire.

So far this year the MTSG have raised £1,883 for their 3 chosen charities and we still have 5 months to go - a great effort!

Coming up in April we have the District Judge shadowing scheme, please email our education secretaries if you would like to take part. We will also be organising experience with Manchester's resident Coroner Mr Nigel Meadows - an opportunity not to be missed, please email Charlotte Brinsley for more details [email protected]. 30 Feature the Messenger WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH YOU Re-arranging the deck-chairs on the Titanic: Why I have that sinking feeling
