CHILDREN’S THEATER PROJECT ............................... 17 1 CHERRY CREEK HIGH SCHOOL CCHS ACTING CAMP Program Description: During this week long intensive, students will get the opportunity to study various acting styles and techniques, including: contemporary realism, Shakespeare, and film acting. Students will learn how to analyze various scripts and make captivating choices that will continue to progress their act- ing performance process. The camp will feature a small capstone performance that features various scene work explored throughout the week. Students will learn from Cherry Creek High School Theater Director, Alex Burkart and advanced students in Cherry Creek High School Theater. Open to: Grades 6-8 Cost: $150.00 per student Dates: June 14-18, 2021 Staff: Time: 9:00 am - 11:30 am Location: Cherry Creek High School Theater Contact: Alex Burkart, [email protected] Registration: MileHighSportsCamps.com CCHS MUSICAL THEATER CAMP Program Description: During this week-long intensive, students will get the opportunity to explore musical theater ensemble, scene-work, and solo performance. Students will learn to learn to analyze songs for actable moments and improve musical theater musicality. The camp will feature a small capstone per- formance that features various work explored throughout the week. Students will learn from Cherry Creek High School Theater Teacher, Alex Burkart; Choir Teachers, Sarah Harrison and Adam Cave; and various advanced students involved with Cherry Creek High School Theater. Students will be asked to provide one solo-piece to workshop during the intensive; ensemble and duet work will be provided and selected by the camp leaders. Open to: Grades 6-8 Cost: $200.00 per student, $150 per student (if Dates: June 14-18, 2021 concurrently enrolled in the Acting or Choir morn- ing camp; $300.00 for both camps) Time: Noon - 3:00 pm Location: Cherry Creek High School Fine Arts Building Contact: Alex Burkart, [email protected] Registration: MileHighSportsCamps.com CCHS HIGH SCHOOL BAND CAMP Program Description: Join us for a week of fun and music! The summer Middle School Camp is open to all 6-8 grade WMS/CMS students who play a wind or percussion instrument. Students must have at least a year of experience in school band or private lessons. Beginning band will not be offered. Each day will be split into small group/individual and full ensemble instruction taught by some of the finest music teachers in the Cherry Creek area. Staff instructors will be assisted by current CCHS band students. The camp staff will consist of coaches and players from the Cher- ry Creek High School Basketball program to provide the best basketball learning experience possible. Various types of game play will take place daily, giving campers the opportunity to apply what they have learned through drills and demonstrations while improving their overall skill and basketball knowledge. This camp is always tons of fun for campers, coaches, and players!. Participants will benefit from our energetic coaching, competitive environment, and individual instruction. We want you to leave our camp a better basketball player while also having a ton of fun! Each session of camp is designed to provide the best possible experience for campers based on their age and skill level.     The 27th Annual National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Awards 2020 The Colorado Chapter (2019-20) On April 13, the Colorado Chapter was set to celebrate its 27th class of outstanding high school scholar-athletes, but was one of many casualties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Colorado Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame was chartered on July 1, 1992, and is one of 120 chapters in 47 states that make up the organization. Its members include former players, coaches, athletics administrators, educators, officials, news media and football fans, all of who enjoy the game of football and share in its purposes and goals. One of its primary goals is to recognize and honor the top high school football student-athletes in the state – young men who have distinguished themselves on the field, in the classroom and in extracurricular and community activities where leadership abilities are displayed. The 27th annual awards banquet was set to recognize 17 of the top student-athletes chosen from a field of statewide nominees and selected by an impartial committee with diverse backgrounds. The criteria for selection is based on a combination of athletic ability (40 percent), academic achievement and character (40 percent) and citizenship and service (20 percent). Colorado remains the only chapter nationwide that selects collegiate players of the week and a collegiate All- State team, starting for the 2003 season, with 2019 thus marking the 17th straight year of such recognition. And beginning in 2014, the chapter began recognizing an Academic All-Colorado team comprised of the 10 football- playing colleges and universities in the state, along with selecting a Scholar-Athlete of the Year (based upon academic and athletic excellence).

    2010 High School Graduates Enrolling in Colorado Public Higher Education in Fall Term 2010 Summary Following C.R.S. 23-5-127 and beginning in Fall term 2010, the SASID (State Assigned Student Identifier ) began being collected in higher education enrollment data. From this point forward, a direct link exists between student history in K-12 and enrollment in public higher education in Colorado. This report summarizes a high school graduating class and their enrollment in higher education. Of the 2010 high school graduates, 46.3% enrolled in a public or reporting private institution in the state. The majority of these students (64.7%) enrolled in a four year public institution. The majority of the students enrolling in higher education were also female (53.0%) and White, non-Hispanic (64.0%). Source of Data Colorado Department of Education (CDE) High School Graduates, Spring 2010 and Department of Higher Education (DHE) Fall Term Enrollment, 2010 (SURDS) Data Limitations High school graduate file does not include late graduates, those graduating after May 2010 Higher education enrollment data collection is limited to public institutions and only a few private institutions. Enrollment in colleges out-of-state or the majority of in-state private, vocational or occupational colleges is not included in this report. Student identifiers submitted to higher education data system are matched by the colleges and universities using a matching process on several student characteristics. This matching process yields, on average, a 90 percent match. The remaining percentage would be included in enrollment data, but would not able to be matched to the high school graduate file.
