I ended up studying engineering / product design and started a company to manufacture adaptive ski equipment that I had designed in college. I never imagined that sit-skiing would become a Paralympic sport and allow me to race on the US Disabled Ski Team. I run Beneficial Designs, testing and designing adaptive equipment and writing accessibility standards for outdoor recreation. I tell people I am the richest man in the world if you don't consider money. My beautiful wife of 30 years is my best friend and soul mate. We have four wonderful children who fill our lives with joy. After college and grad school, I settled in Dallas from 1981-2000. We have family and many friends from our wonderful time there. In 2000 we moved back to Denver and all 4 of our kids went to Cherry Creek High School. I can't imagine living anywhere else in the world as we love Colorado with the amazing family and friends that we enjoy here. They played soccer and BB at CCHS, and who would believe a Girls 21 singer would have such athletic girls? I loved attending CU. I'm proud my Dad helped bring CO Rockies Baseball to CO as a founding owner. My husband and I relived our college days by traveling to Arizona and Penn State to participate in our daughters' college experiences. Enjoy the reunion, we will be in MI for the MI/Penn State game. Interests: A vet tech for 20 yrs I love animals and love to cook. Plants are my thing too. Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: One of my my most memorable experiences in my life was meeting and marrying my husband Bill. Though married prior for 23 year's, the last 12 have been the happiest most spiritual I have experienced in my entire life. On the flip side, I suffered a TBI from a fall in 2005. To summerize, my personality took a 180, my short term memory is like a pea, my long term somewhat better. Having an off sense of time is something you never get used to and my math is slow...many other things combined, having been an avid reader I no longer pick up a book.

    The 27th Annual National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Awards 2020 The Colorado Chapter (2019-20) On April 13, the Colorado Chapter was set to celebrate its 27th class of outstanding high school scholar-athletes, but was one of many casualties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Colorado Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame was chartered on July 1, 1992, and is one of 120 chapters in 47 states that make up the organization. Its members include former players, coaches, athletics administrators, educators, officials, news media and football fans, all of who enjoy the game of football and share in its purposes and goals. One of its primary goals is to recognize and honor the top high school football student-athletes in the state – young men who have distinguished themselves on the field, in the classroom and in extracurricular and community activities where leadership abilities are displayed. The 27th annual awards banquet was set to recognize 17 of the top student-athletes chosen from a field of statewide nominees and selected by an impartial committee with diverse backgrounds. The criteria for selection is based on a combination of athletic ability (40 percent), academic achievement and character (40 percent) and citizenship and service (20 percent). Colorado remains the only chapter nationwide that selects collegiate players of the week and a collegiate All- State team, starting for the 2003 season, with 2019 thus marking the 17th straight year of such recognition. And beginning in 2014, the chapter began recognizing an Academic All-Colorado team comprised of the 10 football- playing colleges and universities in the state, along with selecting a Scholar-Athlete of the Year (based upon academic and athletic excellence).

    2010 High School Graduates Enrolling in Colorado Public Higher Education in Fall Term 2010 Summary Following C.R.S. 23-5-127 and beginning in Fall term 2010, the SASID (State Assigned Student Identifier ) began being collected in higher education enrollment data. From this point forward, a direct link exists between student history in K-12 and enrollment in public higher education in Colorado. This report summarizes a high school graduating class and their enrollment in higher education. Of the 2010 high school graduates, 46.3% enrolled in a public or reporting private institution in the state. The majority of these students (64.7%) enrolled in a four year public institution. The majority of the students enrolling in higher education were also female (53.0%) and White, non-Hispanic (64.0%). Source of Data Colorado Department of Education (CDE) High School Graduates, Spring 2010 and Department of Higher Education (DHE) Fall Term Enrollment, 2010 (SURDS) Data Limitations High school graduate file does not include late graduates, those graduating after May 2010 Higher education enrollment data collection is limited to public institutions and only a few private institutions. Enrollment in colleges out-of-state or the majority of in-state private, vocational or occupational colleges is not included in this report.
