I ended up studying engineering / product design and started a company to manufacture adaptive ski equipment that I had designed in college. I never imagined that sit-skiing would become a Paralympic sport and allow me to race on the US Disabled Ski Team. I run Beneficial Designs, testing and designing adaptive equipment and writing accessibility standards for outdoor recreation. Ria and I are blessed to be part of a close and supportive church family at Grace Community Church here in Minden, NV. w/ Grace, Mercy and Peace Charles (Charley) Babb Simmie Baer Class of '74 [email protected] Class of '74 Occupation: Real Estate Investment Banking Family: Wife - Tandy Children - Adrienne (28), Jenny (27), Robert (24), Melanie (22) Interests: Faith, Family, Friends, Golf, Fly Fishing, Tennis, Cooking, Dancing, Movies Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: I have been incredibly blessed by God in so many ways. I tell people I am the richest man in the world if you don't consider money. My beautiful wife of 30 years is my best friend and soul mate. We have four wonderful children who fill our lives with joy. After college and grad school, I settled in Dallas from 1981-2000. We have family and many friends from our wonderful time there. In 2000 we moved back to Denver and all 4 of our kids went to Cherry Creek High School. I can't imagine living anywhere else in the world as we love Colorado with the amazing family and friends that we enjoy here. Interests: Skiing, music, languages, urban bycycling Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: After graduating from Western State in '78 I began working in geophysics living in Madrid, Bogota and Curitiba, Brazil. But primarily in Denver. Edie Beier Bell Julia (Julie) Benton Miller Class of '74 [email protected] Class of '74 [email protected] Family: I am married to Patrick Miller for 29 years with 2 daughters 25 and 23 Interests: Gardening and traveling Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: We live in Greenwood Village, both our daughters attended Cherry Creek schools. They played soccer and BB at CCHS, and who would believe a Girls 21 singer would have such athletic girls? I loved attending CU. I'm proud my Dad helped bring CO Rockies Baseball to CO as a founding owner. My husband and I relived our college days by traveling to Arizona and Penn State to participate in our daughters' college experiences. Enjoy the reunion, we will be in MI for the MI/Penn State game. Life is great! Interests: I enjoy hiking, walking and reading. Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Like many 74's we settled in to raising a family which included school, soccer and other sports as well as travelling when possible. We are active in our church Littleton Bible Chapel and teach Sunday School and enjoy our friends there. We have lived in Aurora, CO for 35 years. We stay in touch with several close high school friends including the Schmitzs and McCanns. Healthy, active lifestyle with kids, grand kids and family. Love to travel, in particular abroad. Very challenging job leading the Butler Institute for Families at the University of Denver. Interests: A vet tech for 20 yrs I love animals and love to cook. Plants are my thing too. Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: One of my my most memorable experiences in my life was meeting and marrying my husband Bill. Though married prior for 23 year's, the last 12 have been the happiest most spiritual I have experienced in my entire life. On the flip side, I suffered a TBI from a fall in 2005. To summerize, my personality took a 180, my short term memory is like a pea, my long term somewhat better. Having an off sense of time is something you never get used to and my math is slow...many other things combined, having been an avid reader I no longer pick up a book.
