SHERWIN : THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE (TOWN WARRANT) To the Inhabitants of the Town of Rindge in the County of Cheshire in said State, qualified to vote in Town Affairs You are hereby notified to meet at Town Hall in said Rindge on Tuesday, the thirteenth day of March, next at nine of the clock in the forenoon, to act upon the following subjects 1. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing. 2. 'To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges for the ensuing year and make appropria- tions of the same. 3. To hear and act upon the reports of the Selectmen, Overseer of the poor, Town Treasurer, Town Clerk, and reports of all Agents, Committees, and Officers heretofore chosen, and act in any way relating thereto. 4. To see if the voters will authorize the Selectmen and Town Treasurer to borrow money in anticipation of the col- lection of taxes for the current year, and to issue in the name of the Town negotiable notes therefore, said notes to be repaid during the current year from taxes collected within the cur- rent year. 5. To see what method the Town will adopt to collect Taxes. 6. To see what action the Town wishes to take regarding overdrafts and unexpended balances. 7. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of five hundred dollars to grade and tar driveways to the .Memorial School. 8. To see it' the Town will authorize the Selectmen to secure the assistance of the State Tax Commission in reapprais- ing the taxable property in the town in order to secure greater equality as between taxpayers, and to insure the assessment of all property in the Town on the same standard of value, and to raise and appropriate money to pay for the same. 9. To see if the Town will vote to adopt the provisions of the Municipal Budget Law. 10. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to repair the hearse house (so called) for use by the highway department or take any action relating thereto. 1-1. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for civil defense. 12. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of one thousand dollars to provide for the retirement and replacement of obsolete and worn out equipment in the highway department, or take any action relating thereto. 13. To see what action the Town wishes to take with re- gard to fire protection in Rindge Center. 14. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $1,300.00 to repair the waterway from Rugg Meadow to West Rindge village during 1951, or take any action relating thereto. 15. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $400.00 to construct a dam across the brook at the rear of so-called Norcross place, East Rindge, during 1951, for fire protection, or take any action relating thereto. 16. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00 to construct a dam across the brook at the rear of the Lafreniere homestead, East Rindge, during 1951, for fire protection, or take any action relating thereto. 17. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate a sum of money sufficient to enable the Selectmen to have the Town water holes cleaned out and repaired if necessary ; to designate by markers on the highways the location of each and make a complete listing of locations ; such listings to be posted at the Fire Station, with the Selectmen, with the Chief of the Fire Department, with the Police, at each Post Office, and a copy given to each member of the fire department, or take any action relating thereto. 18. To see what action the Town wishes to take in regard to increasing Town Officers salaries. 19. To see if the Town will vote to have two band con- certs this summer, raise and appropriate a sum of money for same, or act in any way relating thereto. 20. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of three thousand two hundred dollars for the pur- pose of oiling the Ashburnham road, so-called, or take any action relating thereto. 21. To see if the Town of Rindge will vote to convey to the Rindge Memorial Post No. 4., Amvets for a consideration, not in excess of one ($1.00) dollar the West Rindge school buildings No. 3., including the land, and authorize the board of Selectmen to execute the deeds and conveyances in the name of the Town of Rindge, or take any other action relating there- to. 22. To transact any other business which should properly come before this meeting. Given under our hands and seal, this sixteenth day of February, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and fifty- one. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges for the ensuing year and make appro- priations of the same. Article 2. To see if the voters will authorize the Selectmen and Town Treasurer to borrow money in anticipation of the collection of taxes for the current year, and to issue in the name of the Town negotiable notes therefore, said notes to be repaid during the current year from taxes collected within the current year.
