V vseh mojih vzponih in padcih si verjel vame, me optimistično spodbujal ter mi nesebično pomagal. 2 Izvleček Naslov: Druţabno in društveno ţivljenje v Lukovici Diplomsko delo skuša prikazati druţabno ţivljenje na območju občine Lukovica. Delo bo zajemalo pregled gibal druţabnega ţivljenja in prikaz različnih oblik zasebnega in javnega druţenja. Glavni razvoj območja Lukovice je bil vezan na prometne povezave in posledično s tem razvojem so se ob cestah pojavile gostilne. Predvsem furmani so se v teh gostilnah ustavljali, da so se okrepčali in hkrati poskrbeli za konje. Domačini so v gostilnah preţivljali predvsem sobotne večere ob dobri glasbi in druţbi. Predvsem v centru Lukovice je bilo ogromno obrtnikov, ki so svoje izdelke na ogled in prodajo postavili ob sejmih, ki jih je bilo nekoč kar 5 letno. Poleg trgovanja z obrtniškimi izdelki so sejmi predstavljali odlično priloţnost za druţenje in pogovor.

    Den läsande hjältinnan Kön, begär och intimitet i tre romaner av Fredrika Bremer ______ Camilla Wallin Bergström Ämne: Litteraturvetenskap Nivå: Master Poäng: 45 hp Ventilerad: VT 2018 Handledare: Sigrid Schottenius Cullhed Examinator: Otto Fischer Abstract: This thesis explores fictional representations of women’s reading practices in the early novels of Fredrika Bremer. I examine these in relation to the negotiations of reading habits in Sweden and Europe during the 1830’s, particularly pertaining to questions of gender, intimacy, desire, and corporeality. The material consists of three novels (The Family H***, The Neighbours and Home), in which the motif of women’s reading plays a significant part. In the four chapters of the thesis, I analyse key aspects of gender and reading in Bremer’s novels: 1) the popular stereotype of obsessive novel reading, and how this specific practice is portrayed in relation to the duties of a wife and mother, as well as to intimacy and secrecy; 2) representations of corrupted or illicit readers, whose reading practices disturbs the confines of nineteenth-century femininity; and 3) how these characters may challenge or bypass the restrictions of gender roles through fictional engagement. The thesis argues that Bremer’s representations of women’s reading are more complex and varied than has previously been recognized, and it reveals new aspects of these representations, such as the significance of intimacy with oneself and others in Bremer’s depictions of silent reading practices, and the transgressive power of feminine empathy. From this perspective, Slovenian composers in the period after 1918 followed the examples of the style that, according to Dahlhaus and Danuser, can be in German labelled as die Moderne (Gustav Mahler, Richard Strauss, Hugo Wolf ) and in Slovenian correspondingly as moderna, the closest English appropriation of the term being “early modernism”. Before the war, Slovenian early modernist composers published their compositions in the magazine Novi akordi, and after the war they maintained the same stylistic orientation. What had changed was the social position of these composers: they were no longer the daring, young and innovative artistic generation, instead taking their place as the main leaders of Slovenian music culture, and therefore increasingly becoming the guardians of conservatism, of the aesthetics of expression, rooted in the romantic convictions of the 19th century. Original version english The Yugoslav perspective has been an extremely important one in my personal and creative development. For example, my very first experience of a metropolis was of a Yugoslav one. I believe I can remember to this day that secondary-school excitement I had upon entering a new territory: like the full lips of a slightly vulgar but enormously sensual girl, the streets of Belgrade seduced me in the early 1980s with promises of romantic opportunities and flashing revelations of Balkan wisdom. I remember well that first ascent from the main railway station through the canyons of the faded palaces, which I was later told mimicked Sutjeska architecturally, all the way up to the wide Terazije. Along this boulevard I strolled, enjoying the gaily-coloured, relaxed manner of the passers-by past the Hotel Moskva. This was where, after his return from Britain, having spent decades there as an emigrant, the aged Milos Crnjanski lived until his death. I don’t know why I didn’t stay in the USA when, many years later, I myself followed the call of foreign shores, but perhaps it had to do with my being struck for the first time by the depressive force of the circumstance called exile presented in the pages of Crnjanski’s Roman o Londonu (A Novel of London). In the display window of the bookshop in the Albanija building, I quickly skimmed the titles of books not yet available in Slovene.

    Forthcoming in: Irina Livezeanu, Arpad von Klimo (eds), The Routledge History of East Central Europe since 1700 (Routledge 2015) Women‘s and Gender History1 Krassimira Daskalova and Susan Zimmermann Since the 1980s, historians working on East Central Europe, as on other parts of the world, have shown that historical experience has been deeply gendered. This chapter focuses on the modern history of women, and on gender as a category of analysis which helps to make visible and critically interrogate ―the social organization of sexual difference‖2. The new history of women and gender has established, as we hope to demonstrate in this contribution, a number of key insights. First, gender relations are intimately related to power relations. Gender, alongside dominant and non-dominant sexualities, has been invoked persistently to produce or justify asymmetrical and hierarchical arrangements in society and culture as a whole, to restrict the access of women and people identifying with non-normative sexualities to material and cultural goods, and to devalue and marginalize their ways of life. Second, throughout history both equality and difference between women and men have typically resulted in disadvantage for women. Men and women have generally engaged in different socio-cultural, political and economic activities, and this gender-based division of labor, which has itself been subject to historical change, has tended to put women in an inferior position. Even when women and men appeared as equals in one sphere of life, this perceived equality often resulted in drawbacks or an increased burden for women in another area and women‘s contribution was still devalued as compared to men‘s.

The exhibition gives a historical view of book preparation and design in Croatia from the Middle Ages to the present day. It includes manuscript and printed books on different topics and themes, from mediaeval evangelistaries and missals to contemporary illustrated editions, print portfolios and artists’ books. Featured are the items that represent the best samples of artistic book design in Croatia with regard to their graphic design and harmonious relationship between the visual and graphic layout and content. The author of the exhibition is art historian Milan Pelc, who selected 60 items for presentation on panels. In addition to the introductory essay, the publication contains the catalogue of items with short descriptions. 4 Milan Pelc CENTURIES OF BOOK ART IN CROATIA Introduction Book art, a constituent part of written culture and Croatian cultural heritage as a whole, is ex- ceptionally rich and diverse. Pjesmarica je nedavno napokon objavljena (Pjesmarica Ane Katarine Zrinske, prir. J. BratuliÊ, Zagreb: Matica hrvatska, 2014), Ëime je omoguÊeno njezino svestrano istraæi- vanje koje je i prije objavljivanja zapoËeo Ivan Zvonar (2006). Naπa se analiza nastavlja na njegova istraæivanja. U radu se donosi kratak opis sadræaja i kompozicije Pjesmarice, zatim se utvruje kojim bi pjesmama autorica mogla biti Ana Katarina Zrinski, i to na temelju sadræajne analize, tj. pronalaæenja motiva koji korespondiraju sa sudbinom pret- postavljene autorice, te se naposljetku istiËu metriËke, stilske i motivske sliËnosti pretpo- stavljenih Katarininih pjesama s pjesniËkim opusima njezina supruga Petra Zrinskog i brata Frana Krste Frankopana. Dolazi se do zakljuËka da se Katarini moæe pripisati 31 * Davor DukiÊ, jedan od suautora ovog priloga, objavio je u “Vijencu” (br. 548, 5. oæujka 2015) kraÊi, popularno pisani tekst “Stihovi iz krletke u pjesmarici Katarine Zrinske”.
