The most up to date version is available on the internet website: www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration/old-vehicles 8/21 V765 scheme How to register your vehicle under its original registration number: a. Applications must be submitted on form V765 and signed by the keeper of the vehicle agreeing to the terms and conditions of the V765 scheme. A V55/5 should also be filled in and a recent photograph of the vehicle confirming it as a complete entity must be included. A FEE IS NOT APPLICABLE as the vehicle is being re-registered and is not applying for first registration. b. The application must have a V765 form signed, stamped and approved by the relevant vehicle owners/enthusiasts club (for their make/type), shown on the ‘List of Vehicle Owners Clubs’ (V765/1). The club may charge a fee to process the application. c. Evidence MUST be presented with the application to link the registration number to the vehicle. Acceptable forms of evidence include:- • The original old style logbook (RF60/VE60). • Archive/Library records displaying the registration number and the chassis number authorised by the archivist clearly defining where the material was taken from. • Other pre 1983 documentary evidence linking the chassis and the registration number to the vehicle. If successful, this registration number will be allocated on a non-transferable basis. How to tax the vehicle If your application is successful, on receipt of your V5C you should apply to tax at the Post Office® in the usual way. -

Media information October 2015 THE 570S COUPE: THE FIRST MODEL IN THE NEW McLAREN SPORTS SERIES The Sports Series completes the McLaren three tier model range, with the 570S Coupe priced from $184,900 The highest power output and lightest car in the sports car segment by almost 331 lbs (150kg) means a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 5 lbs per hp (434PS per ton) The 570S Coupe demonstrates five key characteristics – aerodynamics and design, minimized weight, craftsmanship, day-to-day usability and driving involvement – to create the most attainable McLaren model to date The McLaren 570S Coupe is the first – and highest powered – model launched in the recently announced Sports Series. Following its global debut at the New York International Auto Show in April 2015, the new model range marks the entry of McLaren into the luxury sports car market, introducing race-derived technologies and supercar performance in a package which is very much a pure McLaren. Lightweight construction, including the use of a carbon fiber chassis, recognizable design values and a comprehensive specification list ensures a class-leading offering, and as uncompromised as is expected from a McLaren. With pricing starting at $184,900, the 570S Coupe is available to order now with deliveries in the U.S. starting before the end of 2015. The latest addition to the range completes the three tier model strategy for McLaren alongside the Super Series and Ultimate Series. The Sports Series is the most usable and attainable model to wear a McLaren badge to date, but it retains the core design and dynamic focus that ensures it is still worthy of the iconic name. -
The Jensen Interceptor: Chrysler-Powered British Luxury
The Jensen Interceptor: Chrysler- Powered British Luxury Allan and Richard Jensen's auto business was started before World War II, which interrupted production until 1950, when their first Interceptor was made. At the time, they made Austin bodies under contract, and the first Interceptor resembled an Austin A40 (the Jensens built bodies for a string of cars that included the Volvo P1800, Sunbeam Tiger, and Austin-Healey.) The first Interceptor used a 4 liter Austin in-line six, and was produced in small numbers for over a decade. Jensen also used Nash Twin-Ignition Eight engines for a time, and the 1962 C-V8 used a Chrysler 361 B-block engine. A number of these early Jensens made their way to the US before and after World War II. The next version kept the basic C-V8 chassis, but changed styling. Initially, an in-house convertible design was planned, but chief engineer Kevin Beattie argued for an Italian flavor. Proposals were taken from different design houses, with Carozzeria Touring winning out with a fastback coupe incorporating a rounded tail, but that house was unable to finalize the design. Vignale, instead, provided prototype and initial production bodies, rendered in steel, on CV-8 chassis sent to them by Jensen. Turnaround was quick - about four months - so the new Interceptors could be shown in London in October 1966. Jensen later used the jigs and tools, which were sent by Vignale to the West Bromwich factory. The body had two doors, a low beltline, and fishbowl rear glass in a handsome 2+2 design. -

Shelby Prototype Sunbeam Tiger Shelby Prototype Sunbeam Tiger, at the National Auto Museum, 2012. This document is to provide an overview of the Shelby American built, “Prototype” Sunbeam Tiger. Within the document, for clarity and accuracy, this car may be simply referred to as the “Shelby Prototype Tiger.” Though there is a good amount of detail within this piece, it is only a brief synopsis of what has been collected by the past owners of this vehicle. Past owners, period and marque experts have assisted in an effort to provide the most accurate informational document. There is additional documentation and memorabilia that goes with this vehicle, but not all of it will fit into a single, somewhat concise document. Original Idea and Construction at Shelby American The early 1960s had shown that the Sunbeam Alpines had been enjoying reasonable success in the US, both as a competent production sports car, but also in competition against various other small bore adversaries in SCCA road racing. Rootes Group (Sunbeam’s parent company) West Coast Sales Manager received a bit of feedback from Jack Brabham, after a race and win in a Sunbeam Alpine, to suggest a more powerful engine in the Alpine chassis. Garrad garnered sufficient interest from a few executives at Rootes Group (though not Lord Rootes himself), and approached Shelby about building a prototype. Originally constructed in the Shelby American shop on Princeton Drive in Venice, in early 1963, this car became the model example that more than 7,000 production Sunbeam Tigers followed. The Princeton Drive location is where the Shelby Cobras, the Shelby Racing Cobras and first 20-odd GT350’s were built, before Shelby moved to the larger warehouse at Los Angeles Intl. -

De Jensen-Healey cabriolet zou tussen 1972 en 1976 in z'n eentje beter verkopen, dan alle Jensens in de daaraan voorafgaande jaren bij elkaar. En als toetje kwam daar dan in 1975 ook nog eens de Jensen GT bij, waarvan er zo'n 500 de fabriek zouden verlaten. Maar zoals u weet, na het toetje is de maaltijd voorbij. En zo ging het ook met Jensen; in 1976 was de vraag naar Jensens zo ver terug gelopen, dat het bedrijf werd opgeheven. De firma van de gebroeders Allan en Richard Jensen, 541 te vinden zou zijn. Dit was overigens dezelfde Jensen Motors, werd in 1934 opgericht.
