Second Batch of “Spend-to-Redeem Free Tours” Itineraries Released Registration Opens Tomorrow

Organised by the Tourism Board (HKTB), the “Spend-to-Redeem Free Tours” is releasing the second batch of about 60 itineraries. Starting from tomorrow (16 Jun), the public can register directly with participating tour operators. Similar to the previous batch, the new itineraries offer diverse themes and experiences, and some of them include educational elements, such as workshops on stargazing, Indian cultural dance, papermaking and bowling. There are also tours of heritage sites and fishing village cultures, as well as visiting an influencer’s live studio, allowing both adventurers and intellectuals to enjoy the tours, and families to have a wonderful day out (see appendix for details). All tours have a limited quota and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Upon spending HK$800 in physical dining and retail outlets in Hong Kong, the public can redeem their machine-printed receipts for a free local tour starting from 24 May. Each confirmed participant is required to submit the spending receipts to the tour operator and pay a deposit of HK$100, which they can get back during the tour. All tours include a guide service, transportation, one meal and basic insurance coverage. Each tour will visit at least two points of interest. All participants are required to scan the QR codes to record their visits when they board vehicles and enter all venues (including attractions and restaurants) where the “Leave Home Safe” QR codes are displayed.
