The Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security (CTI) is a commitment of six nations (i.e., Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, , Solomon Islands, and Timor Leste - the CT6) within the Coral Triangle to support the nearly 2.3 million square miles of ocean and exceptional biodiversity. CTI has gained political support from the highest levels of governments with the heads of states of all countries agreeing to a Regional Plan of Action (RPOA) whilst national commitments are subscribed in the National Plans of Action (NPOA). Conservation International and the World Wildlife Fund are currently helping the Philippine National CTI Coordinating Committee (NCCC) meet its targets as stipulated in the Philippine NPOA. CI has been working at various levels of governance to fast-track the realization of goals for the Philippines in the CTI under the Coral Triangle Support Partnership (CTSP) Program funded by USAID.
