Welcome to the 2016 American Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Championship

Corbett Stadium (Tampa, Fla.) on the campus of University of South Florida (USF) will host the 2016 American Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Championship. Opened in 2011, Corbett Stadium is one of the top collegiate soccer facilities in the country. The facility provides fans the opportunity to be right on top of the action, while producing an electric environment. Four teams - USF, Tulsa, UConn and UCF - advanced to the semifi nals. No. 3 UConn will play No. 2 Tulsa at 4:30 p.m. ET on Fri., Nov. 11. In the other semifi nal the same day, No. 4 UCF will play No. 1 seed and host USF at 7 p.m. ET. The championship game will be held at Noon ET on November 13. The American Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Championship enters a new format this season. New changes for 2016 include no quarterfi nal rounds and the semifi nals/championship game hosted on the campus of the No. 1 seed. Both semifi nals matchups will be broadcast live on The American Digital Network at www.YouTube.com/AmericanAthleticConf. Sunday’s championship game will carried live on ESPN3 and aired tape delayed on ESPNU (4 p.m. ET).

2016 NCAA Championship – Men’s College Cup The winner of the the American Athletic Conference Championship receives the league’s automatic bid to the 48-team NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship. The 2016 NCAA Championship marks the 58th anniversary of the tournament. First, second and third round games, as well as the quarterfi nals, are held on the campuses of participating institutions in a single-elimination format. The College Cup, which includes the national semifi nals and championship, will be held at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas on Dec. 9 and 11.

2016 AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MEN’ S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP 13 CORBETT STADIUM

Corbett Stadium (Tampa, Fla.) on the campus of University of South Florida (USF) is the host of the 2016 American Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Championship.

The tournament begins Nov. 11 with a pair of semifi nal matchups. The championship fi nale is Nov. 13. The Bulls, who went 6-2-2 in home matches this season, will host the conference championship for the second consective season. USF won the inaugural American Athletic Conference Championship in 2013 after defeating UConn 6-5 on penalty kicks.

Opened for the 2011 season, Corbett Stadium is one of the top collegiate soccer facilities in the country. The facility provides fans the opportunity to be right on top of the action, while producing an electric environment.

Additional amenities include on-field player seating consists of 30 individual padded chairs on elevated tiers for each team, berm seating available behind both goals, air- conditioned press box with panoramic windows, dedicated broadcast booth in press box, Musco Sports Lighting System equipment for television broadcast specifi cations, and direct passage between stadium and USF Athletics Training Facility.

The American Athletic Conference holds media rights partnerships with ESPN and CBS Sports which provide the conference with outstanding national exposure on the two industry leaders in sports television. The football portion of the contract calls for nearly 90 percent of conference-con- trolled games on national broadcast or national cable platforms. The fi rst American Athletic Conference Football Championship, which was played in 2015, was televised by ABC as part of Championship Saturday.
