League results Rosedale Premiership Match day 9 ================================= Fjortoft's Friends - Mishima Zaibatsu 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Devil Jin (72.) The most likely result of this slow game was a draw, but Mishima Zaibatsu were lucky and scored on one of very few chances. Ladida FC - Twin Peaks Owls 0 : 0 The home team were a little stronger in this one, mostly due to the support from the home crowd. However, both teams were inefficient enough to not score any goals at all. First Men of Rome - FC Asskickers 2 : 1 Scorers: Damiano Tommasi (83.) ***Mark Henry (80.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: Franco Sensi ***Jerry Lawler FC Asskickers picked the right strategy to dominate this away game against the Toga Boys, but the home team had the help of both Lady Luck and the referee, and somehow kept both points. Famous Battles - The Ages 0 : 0 Famous Battles were a little stronger in this one, but couldn't make that a win. So whereas money does not play football, it seems the Ages get by rather well anyway! FC Mokum - Dummys 1 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Van Dik Hout (12.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: --- ***Doe Maar A strange match. FC Mokum picked the perfect strategy and dominated gameplay completely, only allowing a single shot on goal. Then that single shot became a goal, while they wasted a lot of chances themselves. Thankfully for them, the referee intervened and let them save one point. Blue Revolution - Extreme 7 : 3 Scorers: Kunihiko (53., 56., 89.), Kazuya (42., 85.), Kyushichi (41.), Kanjiro Sato (70.) ***Robben (14., 75.), Robson (59.) Blue Revolution remain rock solid at home, here against Extreme who have yet to take any points this season. Rosedale Premiership Match day 10 ================================== Extreme - Fjortoft's Friends 2 : 2 Scorers: Robben (17.) ***JanAage (20.), Webbi (27.) Penalties: 1 (1 missed) ***- (1 missed) Booked: Giggs ***Berger, Zico And there it is, Extreme's first point of the season! Their visitors Fjortoft's Friends were somewhat stronger, but due to the home team's better strategy and home advantage, it was almost even, and the draw wasn't too undeserved. Dummys - Blue Revolution 1 : 2 Scorers: Dennis (70.) ***Kenichi (31., 74.) Booked: Dennis, Krezip ***--- Ouch! Dummys should have won this one, or at the very least gotten a draw, since they were stronger and fought harder for the points. However, Blue Revolution were luckier and stole both points. The Ages - FC Mokum 1 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Ricardo Reis (68.) Penalties: 1 ***- An almost exactly even match after FC Mokum picking the better strategy. In the end, the Ages needed some referee help to get their deserved point. FC Asskickers - Famous Battles 4 : 1 Scorers: Booker T. (36., 52.), Chris Jericho (49.), Mark Henry (39.) ***Desert Storm (70.) Booked: --- ***Endor, Jena Well, you have to hand it to the Famous Battles - they really tried in this one. However, FC Asskickers had picked a better strategy, and controlled the game throughout nevertheless. Twin Peaks Owls - First Men of Rome 4 : 0 Scorers: Kumanosuke (12., 63.), Jean Renault (76., 84.) ***--- Penalties: - ***- (1 missed) Booked: Dick Tremayne, Ed Hurley, Jean Renault, Lawrence Jacoby ***Roberto Pruzzo The Bookhouse Boys found the strategy to completely bulldoze the Toga Boys, and fought hard enough that the win was almost guaranteed. Well done. Mishima Zaibatsu - Ladida FC 2 : 0 Scorers: Devil Jin (53.), Jack 5 (42.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Nicky Another win for last season's champions - they're really picking up speed now. Will they manage to win again? Lexington League Match day 9 ============================= Al Rassan United - Sleep Wanderers 2 : 11 Scorers: Catriona (4.), Alessan (14.) ***Chantal (6 goal$s), Pharamond (36., 70., 80.), Zelda (13., 18.) Sent off: Lisseut (27.) ***--- With a lucky point for Trion, Sleep Wanderers turned a virtually even game into a veritable goalfest. About a fifth of a goal separated the teams on paper - on the field, that became nine! Gamblers United - Tamriel Athletic 4 : 1 Scorers: Stephanie Strongpoint (65., 72.), Sonya Scorer (49.), Felicia Ferocious (13.) ***Urbul gro-Orkulg (24.) Sent off: --- ***Nag gro-Rush (24.) A relegation zone match where Gamblers United showed that they're of a different caliber than fellow strugglers Tamriel Athletic. It's still a way to go to safe ground, but maybe they can make it? There's many matches to go... Kremlin - Sheffield Thursday 2 : 0 Scorers: Tove Smaadahl (24.), Karisma Veggimellom Horheim (46.) ***--- Kremlin had figured out the right strategy, denying the Owls any shots on goal at all. A rather easy win for them. G.I.D. - Dead Dino Storage 2 : 9 Scorers: Emptiness (12., 50.) ***Black Bonzo (19., 42., 63.), Marillion (30., 39., 50.), Tad Morose (76.), The Third Ending (15.), Titus Edge (86.) Booked: --- ***Valheista Kaunein Dead Dino Storage again show why they're in the promotion zone - with yet another sound away win. Erkrath Gladiators - Car Park Rangers 1 : 0 Scorers: Michel Prinz (78.) ***--- Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***Monique The Powers had figured the Lunatics out, and limited the home team to a single shot on goal. However, that became a goal, and the referee even gave the hosts a penalty for good measure. Desassossego Blues - Springfield United 1 : 0 Scorers: Ricardo Reis (49.) ***--- Booked: Alberto Caeiro ***--- The Blues become the first team of the season to host Springfield United and have any points to show from it. It was an even affair, and probably the best fight any home team has put up against the table toppers. I don't think this loss will prevent Springfield from promoting, though... Lexington League Match day 10 ============================== Springfield United - Al Rassan United 2 : 0 Scorers: Duff-Beer (28.), Apu (14.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Zabira Lion had a rough weekend this round, that's for sure - here they were visiting table toppers Springfield United, and never got much contact as the home team took the lead with two goals early. Car Park Rangers - Desassossego Blues 1 : 4 Scorers: Monique (59.) ***Alexander Search (8., 12., 85.) Penalties: - ***1 Booked: Bruce Banner ***--- A very impressive weekend from the Blues, beating two top teams and surging up the table. Their strategy was right, and the Powers couldn't do much to prevent this defeat. Dead Dino Storage - Erkrath Gladiators 2 : 1 Scorers: Tad Morose (12.), Fates Warning (57.) ***Holger Freimann (83.) Booked: --- ***Daniel Klein A rather even match, but DDS' home crowd carried their team to a narrow one goal win. Sheffield Thursday - G.I.D. 7 : 1 Scorers: Greg Aquino (6., 82.), Ryan Braun (23., 59.), Vinny Rottino (16.), Joe Dillon (44.) ***Kosuke (1.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: --- ***Hypersomnia, Nothing G.I.D. keep losing ground both to the other relegation zone teams and to the teams on safe ground. Perhaps they're already preparing for Berkeley? Tamriel Athletic - Kremlin 0 : 2 Scorers: --- ***Per Ostvold (81.), Korekiyo (88.) Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***Clayton, Korekiyo, Roar Flaathen Kremlin have ambitions this year it seems, solidifying their position within the top three with a well deserved away win. Sleep Wanderers - Gamblers United 4 : 1 Scorers: Foxglove (47., 60.), Kazuki (88.), Pharamond (74.) ***Oystein Djupedal (11.) Booked: Pharamond ***--- Sleep Wanderers' first double win weekend of the season, distancing the relegation race and nearing the promotion race instead. Gamblers, however, have trouble catching up to safe ground just yet. Berkeley Conference Match day 9 ================================ Thinkers FC - The Potato People 4 : 7 Scorers: David Hume (20., 45., 78.), Plato (23.) ***Valerie Potato (44., 46.), Harold Potata (23., 77.), Harald Potatis (20.), Baby Potato (10.) Penalties: - ***1 Booked: Aristotle ***Peach Potato Another match to show that there's a significant difference between top half Berkeley and bottom half Berkeley. Despite Thinkers FC being very good at home , table toppers Potato People got ahead by three goals. the Professors of Jazz - AZ 0 : 2 Scorers: --- ***Dembele (60., 68.) Booked: Louis Armstrong ***--- AZ attempted to bring some support from the home crowd, and whereas it didn't work, somehow they managed to win the game anyway - despite Professors of Jazz actually fighting their way to an upper hand. PSV - Harestua IL 2 : 1 Scorers: Cocu (27.), Simons (39.) ***Tom Solbakken (27.) An impressive result from PSV, beating 2nd placed Harestua, but it was entirely deserved after them picking the right strategy. Frackers FC - Time Will Tell 10 : 5 Scorers: Fettrik (25., 42., 82.), Billy (40., 90.), Furundan (19., 59.), Maya (70., 73.), Heian (19.) ***Tutnix (60., 71.), Alex (26.), Garnix (36.), Hatnix (81.) The visitors actually had a firm upper hand in this game, but the home team were ridiculously efficient and thus somehow managed to win anyway. Slartibartfast FC - Saturday Morning FC 0 : 0 Booked: --- ***Hobbes The 2Ds picked the right strategy, and dominated this game completely. However , inefficiency means they still got only one point. Feyenoord - Call of Cthulhu 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Beyond Re-Animator (57.) Booked: --- ***Beyond Re-Animator, The Shuttered Room Good try by Feyenoord, who managed to get an even game before rough play was considered.
