Stewardship Prayer Loving and faithful God, we place our lives in your hands. You are our shelter in the storm and our comfort in dark and troubled times. May we always place our trust in you when we find ourselves lost and overwhelmed. You ask us to believe and to keep our eyes focused on you. Send your Spirit to help us do that always. We trust that you are working on our behalf to bring all things to good. May we celebrate the joy and peace of your kingdom that even now is in our midst. We ask this through Christ our risen Lord. Amen. — Submitted by the Stewardship Committee Please stand. Matthew 28: 16-20 Today’s reading from Matthew relates the “Great Commission” that Jesus gave the disciples to baptize all nations. Although there are other times in the Gospels that the Holy Trinity was present (i.e. Jesus’ Baptism), this is the only time that the phrase “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” is used. It has come down to us as the familiar phrase the Church uses in each Baptism Liturgy. Deacon/Priest: The Gospel of the Lord. All: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. Please be seated. Please stand.
