Dr. Honorio Gimeno
DR. HONORIO GIMENO El Dr. Gimeno fue un médico especialmente dotado para fa práctica del Naturismo y para su enseñan za. De sólida formación académica -había logrado obtener un total de once matrículas de honor durante la carrera-, su aspiración inicial era fa de llegar a convertirse en catedrático de Medicina legal. Sin embargo esa aspiración pronto se desva necería; mientras estudia tercero, lee "M i testamento", de Sebastian Kneipp, y resuelve hacerse naturista. Este joven voluntarioso y moderado, nacido en Espadilla, Castellón, un 29 de marzo de 1907, habia de llegar a convertirse en una figura importan te del Naturismo médico español, así como uno de sus mejores divulgadores. Con Sylvia, a fa que había conocido diez años antes de casarse con ella en una reunión de estudiantes universitarios, y que se convertiría en su más eficaz colaboradora, formará un entusiasta matrimonio naturista, que aprovechará su viaje de novios para visitar los sanatorios naturistas del centro de Europa y entrevistarse con los eminentes médicos suizos y alemanes de la época. La asidua y profunda lectura de los grandes autores naturistas extranjeros, fes obligará a aprender el inglés, y a perfeccionar el alemán y el francés. Posteriormente el Dr. Gimeno emprenderá un viaje de estudios por Alemania {Worishofen y Jena). En 1931 inicia su colaboración en el Grupo Helios, grupo barcelonés formado por seguidores del Naturismo aportando excelentes trabajos a la revista "Helios" ¡·¡ que edita el grupo homónimo, entre los que se incluyen sus primeros "cursos de Medicina El Dr. Honorio Gimeno en los años treinta Naturista", que más tarde impartirá en fo rma de conferencias en la Sociedad Ve getariana de Barcelona. -
