. Collections Management: Works within the Division of Cultural Resources to assist in the management and stewardship of historic resources across the Park that include, but are not limited to, museum collections, archaeological sites, historic structures and interior spaces and cultural landscapes. Assist with the management of more than four million decorative, fine art and archaeological collections by completing the annual collections inventory, overseeing collection management initiatives, and implementing NPS collections policies. Provides oversight for Archaeology Laboratory operations, supervises contract employees, and develops protocol documents for inclusion in project report. . Operations: Directed the daily operations of the public archaeology laboratory by leading the processing, cataloging, identification and analysis of more than one million artifacts, and maintained production rates and quality control of tasks and projects by ensuring that the project met the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for archaeology. Worked with the Research Director to develop research projects and establish program priorities, implement, and manage internal MS Access relational cataloging system, and integrate all records into the Interior Collections Management System (ICMS), the National Park Service’s national catalog. . Volunteer & Staff Management: Supervised staff, contractors, and volunteers. Designed, implemented, and administered a national award winning volunteer program. Responsible for all volunteer recruitment, work plan and performance standard development, and reviews. Since 2007, this program has welcomed more than one hundred and fifty volunteers who provided over 40,000 hours of service to the project. .
