CHUANG, United States District Judge *1 Plaintiff Melissa Perry has filed this civil action against her former employer, the National Association of Home Builders of the United States (“NAHB”), alleging discriminatory discharge and breach of contract arising out of her September 2018 termination. Pending before the Court is NAHB’s Motion to Dismiss. ECF No. 15. Having reviewed the Complaint and briefs on the Motion, the Court finds that no hearing is necessary. See D. Md. Local R. 105.6. For the reasons set forth below, the Motion will be GRANTED. BACKGROUND I. NAHB Employment Perry worked at NAHB for approximately three years as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), Jerry Howard. Sanders, Dean of Graduate Studies Date Abstract Commodore Matthew Perry was impactful for the United States Navy and the expansion of America's diplomacy around the world. He played a vital role in negotiating the 1854 Treaty of Kanagawa, which established trade between the United States and Japan, and helped reform the United States Navy. The new changes he implemented, like schooling and officer ranks, are still used in modern America. Nevertheless, the memory of Commodore Matthew Perry has faded from the American public over the decades since his death. He is not taught in American schools, hardly written about, and barely remembered by the American people. The goal of this paper is to find out what has caused Matthew Perry to disappear from America's public memory.

CHALLENGER SOCCER ACADEMY ACADEMY TRAINER RESUME PERSONAL INFORMATION NAME: Max Perry DATE OF BIRTH: 13 July 1991 AGE: 22 PLACE OF BIRTH: Birmingham, England CELL PHONE: TBC EMAIL: [email protected] COACHING QUALIFICATIONS • FA Level 1 • FA Level 2 • FA Youth Award Introductory Module • BA Hons degree in Sports Coaching COACHING EXPERIENCE Coaching has been a passion of mine since the age of 15 when I completed my first coaching qualification. Since then I have held coaching roles at my local football club on the Isle of Man and also the National Junior set up, being involved with ages between 10 and 16. Whilst at University I also continued to gain coaching experience. Penwortham FC offered me the chance to lead a team of Under 14 boys. This was my first real experience of having a team to myself and allowed me to develop skills in organization, session planning and communication. Preston North End was where I feel my coaching really developed. Here I coached the Womens’ Under 18 team, helping them to the league title. This has been by far the most professional role I have held and feel the experience has hugely improved my ability to coach players to a ‘performance’ level rather than pure technical practice. Specific to Challenger, I have coached 2 summer seasons (2011 and 2012) and also done a Fall season (2012). PLAYING EXPERIENCE Playing has always been my real passion. I began playing competitively at 9 years old. Since then I have represented my local club at all age groups, including captaining our U18 team to a prestigious tournament victory.

University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Archives and Special Collections Ferreira-Mendes Portuguese-American Archives American-Portuguese Genealogical and Historical Society, Inc., records, 1981-1999 MC 83/PAA Extent: 21 linear feet (10 manuscript boxes, 97 card file boxes, 4 oversized boxes and 5 microfilm boxes) Historical note: The idea for a genealogical society specializing in researching family and vital records pertinent to Portuguese Americans began in 1977 when several individuals doing the same research met informally to discuss the idea. The five founders, Pat Amaral, Anthony Catojo, Jr., Estella Margarido, Henrietta Mayer and Cecelia Rose began their efforts by reviewing entries in the 1860 census. The group was formally incorporated in 1981. To standardize the information they were collecting, they asked Bruce Barnes, a librarian at UMD (then SMU) to create cataloguing guidelines. The members eventually compiled information on individuals and family names on over 65,000 index cards. The Taunton Public Library served as home to the card file collection, books and vertical file until 2009, when it was transferred to the FMPAA at UMass Dartmouth. The society published a quarterly newsletter, The Bulletin Board, starting in 1981. Scope and contents note: Collection includes selected meeting minutes, correspondence, a set of newsletters, newsletters of other Portuguese genealogical societies, a name card file, microfilm of card file, and vertical file papers. Card files consist of the name file created by members of the APGHS, as well as the research of Anthony S. Catojo, Jr., referred to as his “lifetime collection.” Monographs and serials are catalogued in the library, both in general collections and special collections.
