Foreword I am pleased to present this report setting out the findings of the Reliability Panel's annual review of market performance. The Panel carried out this review in accordance with the requirements of the National Electricity Rules where we have reviewed the performance of the National Electricity Market (NEM) in terms of reliability, security and safety over the 2013-14 financial year. The NEM regions experienced the warmest spring on record for Australia in 2013. Temperatures were warmer than average for Australia over summer and autumn with a number of heat waves affecting Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania during January 2014.
