There are two main strands that are woven into this reading: one that works to weave in detail each of the works chosen; the other that searches to intertwine the connections that unite those different works, holding in perspective, in both strands, a place of contact between basically the two cultures: Andean indigenous and Westernized. -

La Colonialidad Y Violencia Del Perú
SU IDENTIDAD DOLOROSA: LA COLONIALIDAD Y VIOLENCIA DEL PERÚ SETH HOPKINS A Thesis Submitted to the Graduate College of Bowling Green State University in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of MASTER OF ARTS May 2017 Committee: Valeria Grinberg Pla, Advisor Amy Robinson Francisco Cabanillas © 2017 Seth Hopkins All Rights Reserved iii ABSTRACT Valeria Grinberg Pla, Advisor Muchos críticos han escrito copiosamente sobre la colonialidad e igualmente sobre la violencia del Perú implacable y los escritores Mario Vargas Llosa (1936-), Santiago Roncagliolo (1975-) y Diego Trelles Paz (1977-). -
Welcome to Canciones De Lucha, San Diego, California
Welcome to Canciones de Lucha, San Diego, California We welcome you to Canciones de Lucha, a fundraiser to support Chicano Music in the on-line exhibit Unidos Por La Causa, http://library.sdsu.edu/exhibits/2010/10/UnidosPorLaCausa/index.html. The idea for this fundraiser performance was born out of the recognition that music was an integral part of the Chicano Movement and Student Movement of the '60s, and the desire to share this history with the on-line public, our community and our children. During the '60s, many of us were teenagers who believed that all people had human rights and that we needed to work to guarantee human rights for all. Here in San Diego we contributed to this work in many ways ; some resulting in long-standing local institutions. But where ever we volunteered, there were always guitars and music, ... on a grape boycott picket line in front of Safeway in National City, at Camp Oliver (Catolicos por la Raza), at the Las Chicanas Mother-Daughter Tea at Scripps Cottage SDSU, or at conferences at SDSU, City College or UCSD. There was always music. It is because of this history, so important to the musicians here today, that these songs be remembered. We, musicians have come from San Francisco, Brawley, San Bernardino and Baja to share our songs with you. And there are several others who wished that they could be here singing today. Several of today's songs are originals written by us which document the thoughts and concerns of the San Diego Chicano Movement at that time. -
Mesianismo Peruano. Dos Discursos
MESIANISMO PERUANO. TWO SPEECHES ABSTRACT The Latin American countries with a large colonial past and autonomous life that still have not reached the two centuries, have not overcome political and social stability either. Perú is not an exception. Dictatures and devaluation of political class have caused distrust. The collective consciousness hopes the returning of Inca past. The whole statement is a Millenariam position that this article tries to explain with the purpose of citizens practice their autonomous individuals with capacity of discernment.
