Pierre DOUCET came from Canada [sic], according to his great-great-grandson Pierre DOUCET, who mistakenly called his distant forebear Germain. Under [his sister] Marguerite DOUCET, who came from France with her husband Abraham DUGAS, he says: "The fact that she came from France shows that Pierre must have originated there too, notwithstanding the affirmation that he came to Acadia from Canada." 2. ↑ 2.0 2.1 Nova Scotia, Canada. After the fall of Port Royal in 1654, he sought refuge in Que'bec, where his 1st wife died and where his son Germain would have passed several years. The father and son returned to Acadia.
