Montana had a pretty good football team at the start of the 1920 season. The Grizzlies opened the year with its biggest win in program history, a 133-0 drubbing over (now) Carroll College – to this day the largest score UM has ever put on the board.

Montana followed that up with the program’s only win over the Huskies, an 18-14 victory in Seattle that was one of the last games in UW history not played inside Husky Stadium, held just weeks before the stadium opened.

In the 18-game series history against the Huskies, only one game was played in Missoula. Montana hosted Washington at UM on Homecoming weekend in 1927, with the Huskies going away 32-0 2017 BIG SKY FOOTBALL STANDINGS winners. The game was not without its bright spots for UM, however.
