Welcome to Saint Barnabas Church Founded in 1869, Saint Barnabas is a Roman Catholic parish of the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter. The Ordinariate was established in 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI in order to preserve elements of the Anglican tradition within the . The parish entered the Catholic Church in 2013. is celebrated using Divine Worship, the Vatican- promulgated also known as the Ordinariate or liturgy. All Catholics may fulfill their Mass obligation on Sundays and holydays at Saint Barnabas. Catholics in full with the Holy See of Rome may receive Holy Communion at our Masses.  HOLY HOUR IN PLACE OF EVENSONG TODAY At the request of Bishop Lopes, Sunday Evensong and Benediction this afternoon will be replaced with a special Holy Hour at 5:30 pm. All are encouraged to come and pray with special intention for our parish and all members of the Saint Barnabas family.

 COLUMBARIUM MEETING FEBRUARY 9 A meeting will be held Tuesday evening February 9 at 6:30 pm in the Parish House to discuss the possibility of, and gage interest in, establishing a place of permanent internment for cremated remains on parish soil in a columbarium. Please plan to attend if this is something that interests you. A Zoom meeting will be set up for those who wish to participate remotely.

PANCAKE SUPPER FEBRUARY 16 With falling early this year, Lent will be here before you know it. Mark your calendar now for the Saint Barnabas Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper fundraiser on February 16.

 REMINDER ABOUT MASKS A reminder about compliance with Omaha’s ordinance requiring face covering in public buildings: the mandate has been extended to February 23, 2021, and it includes churches. For the sake of your fellow worshippers, please wear a mask while you are in the building following the guidelines from the city. This is a small price to pay in order to be able to worship in church during the ongoing pandemic.
