MOST PROMISING Companies of Ukraine with Export Potential #12-13 March 27, 2017 Published since 1992 EXPORT STRATEGY THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE BUSINESS Nataliya Mykolska, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine — on the National Export Strategy of the country WORLD’S BEST GRAIN OKKO Agrotrade is planning to export 70% of grain purchased from Ukrainian farmers business-journal.com.ua MOST PROMISING companies of Ukraine with export potential Special edition not for sale Cover_English.indd 1-3 25.03.17 02:27 .Б ИЗНЕС ONLINE MAGAZINE BUSSINESS https://business-journal.com.ua FRESH ISSUE OF THE MAGAZINE EVERY MONDAY Cover_English.indd 4-6 25.03.17 02:46 .STress ur businessmen have been facing new challenges on a The Ultimate O daily basis, and their task is to find appropriate solutions. To lend them a helping hand, we have decided Goal to issue a special ‘100 Most Promising Companies of Ukraine with Export Potential’ edition. Initially, upon the project launching, our goal was to create a communication bridge to attract investment in Ukraine. To show the potential of our ‘new economy’. We have deliberately embarked on such a limitation to demonstrate the evolution of national entrepreneurship — from the exploitation of the subsoil (‘fossil capitalism’) to an innovative eco-capitalism, focusing on the manufacturing of higher value-added goods. But during the three-month project preparation, thanks to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Export Promotion Office, our project has evolved into a major movement at the state level to advance Ukrainian goods into Viacheslav Myronenko, international markets, becoming a new BUSINESS Magazine Editor in Chief instrument for increasing the capitalization of Ukrainian companies and the awareness of Ukrainian products in international markets. We have deliberately entered into this project to show alternative Ukraine as a territory of sustainability and dynamic economic development, where transparency, reliability and responsibility in business are fundamental values. And to show our alternative economy as an agent of the new Eco-Industrial Age. Some could say that this list is rather arbitrary. Yes, maybe it is. But in this case, the trend is more important. We have tried as much as possible to put many criteria and limitations in order to level the human factor and to show the companies Ukraine would soon be proud of and thus expand the list of national brands, associated with Ukraine and its economic, cultural and innovative potential. Listed Ukrainian companies have already had successful export experience and possess a wide range of indispensable ‘hard skills’ to bring the nutritional quality and healthfulness of Ukrainian products and usefulness of Ukrainian services in such a way as to create the ‘win-win’ situation for their business and their customers. They can seek alternatives and develop innovative strategies, while always evaluating the financial implications. Our goal is to tell it as many people as we can and to encourage foreign investment in the country. 3 Q_1259_03.indd 3 25.03.2017 01:21:36 Соntents .Б ИЗНЕС The editor’s word ................................................3 The Ukrainian group of companies Published from 01.12.92 MAIS is in the lead among the producers Registration certificate: KV #21581-11481ПР dated Stress: Ukraine diversifies its foreign 08.09.15 of corn seeds, producingnatural apple markets .......................................................................6 Publisher: JSC “Blitz-inform”, Kyiv-156, Kioto str., 25 juices and expanding the nut Founder: Natalia Melnychuk Person: Natalya Mykolska, Deputy Minister production ..............................................................36 President of PJSC “Blitz-Inform”: Alexey Usenko of Economic Development and Trade of Why the Astarta Agroindustrial Holding and General Director of Publishers “Blitz-Inform”: Ukraine — Trade Representative of Ukraine: the KM Core IT-company have set up Agro Vladimir Chepovoy ([email protected]), “We are becoming full-fledged participants in Core joint venture ..............................................39 Tel. 585-6521 the development of world trade” ......................8 Chief Editor: Vladimir Chepovoy Foundation of Vasyl Khmelnytsky’s Through the eyes of the world: BUSINESS Project Manager: Iryna Serdyuk K.Fund supports private initiatives in the has chosen the Top-10 domestic brands ([email protected]), tel 585-6503 field of education, which should contribute most recognized in the world, which allow to Editor in Chief: Viacheslav Myronenko to the constant development of the identify Ukraine by its products.......................10 ([email protected]), tel 461-8347 personality ............................................................40 Deputy Managing Editor: Iryna Chernyavskaya Boris Markov, Chairman of the Board of A clear understanding of what was happening ([email protected]) Directors, ATB Director General: “ATB Trade and a quick response to the challenges Head of Special Projects: Elena Moshenets Network will continue its development in helped the owners of Chemical Elements ([email protected]) 2017” ...........................................................................12 Ukraine to save and develop complex Art Director: Igor Naidenko Lenna Koszarny, founder and CEO of chemical production ..........................................45 ([email protected]) Horizon Capital: “Now is the time to invest in Departments: visionary entrepreneurs” ....................................16 UKRAVIT, the largest Ukrainian “Money” — Yuri Gusev, editor ([email protected]) manufacturer of plant protection products “Strategy” — Katerina Mashevska, editor Maryana Kahanyak, Export Promotion and microfertilizers, is building an innovative ([email protected]) Office Head, — on the Export promotion and research and development center that has no The Department of literary editing: the activities of the Office .................................18 analogs in Ukraine ..............................................46 Marina Nekrasova, Head of Department Daniel Bilak, UkraineInvest CEO: “To seize OKKO Agrotrade company is planning ([email protected]) the moment: it’s a perfect time to invest in to export 70% of grain purchased from Department of prepress technologies: Kasyan Servetsky, Department Head Ukraine” ....................................................................19 Ukrainian farmers ................................................50 ([email protected]) Ruslan Zahrebelny, Delta Wilmar CIS Marketing Department: Irina Pirog, Head of Department Commercial Director, — on successful Asian ([email protected]), tel 593-6833 business in Ukrainian manner ........................55 Advertising Department: Svetlana Vlasova, Head of Department BUSINESS represents “100 most Synaps engineering company is planning promising companies of Ukraine with ([email protected]), tel 205-5011. to build its own energy centers on Editorial address: 02156, Kyiv-156, Kioto str., 25. export potential.” These companies biomass ..................................................................56 are neither a part of the financial and Tel.: 461-8347. industrial groups, nor representatives Ukrainian businessman Aleksander Hotline: [email protected] tel. 593-0462.
