ABOUT US - DAM Ústí nad Labem s. r. o.

» Our company was established on 21st June 1993 with metalworking as its scope of activity. In the years to come, based on supply and demand we expanded our scope of activity to locksmith works and steel-structure manufacture. Today, the company employs 60 employees.

» The company operates in two units.

The first unit, machining and locksmith shop operates in PZ Tonaso a.s. Neštěmice premises. The second unit is located in TOS Varnsdorf, a.s. premises where we are engaged in welding of steel structures. Here, our employees participate in development of new machines manufactured by TOS Varnsdorf, a.s. and help in innovation of the existing machines – horizontal boring machines.

Welding is carried out on the shop ﬂ oor with an area of 3600 m2, equipped with two cranes, each with a lifting capacity of 8000 kg. The entrance gate is 4 m wide and 4.2 m high. We also provide welding of sections over 20 t, we are able to process approx. 40 t of material a month - common structural steel (S235, S355). Our Liebherr 100 t mobile crane can be used for loading of heavier pieces. Used welding methods: MAG, submerged- arc welding We provide outsourced annealing, in a large car-type furnace, including a report - depending on customer demand. We also provide outsourced weld tests - depending on customer demand. We outsource varnishing of parts - depending on customer demand.

The production hall of Varnsdorf unit prepares a company’s modernization project covering the very fi rst robotized welding site equipped by world-class Japan MOTOMAN robot with travelling distance 20 metres and controlled positioning system of loading capacity over 20,000 kg. Design of this implementation makes it the very fi rst site in the Czech Republic and Central Europe of this specifi cation. We expect substantial increase of working productivity as well as quality, particularly for special technology elements and reduction of total production costs. For future, we plan another robotized site. The project should be completed in 2009.
