My teeth just look smaller than most people’s. But seven-year-old me was very upset about the lost income from the tooth fairy. I wrote notes to the tooth fairy once a month for a year. I very clearly explained the unique situation my genetic makeup had put me in and asked for compensa- tion. I thought I was being so intelligent that the tooth fairy would have to honor my request.
