In this month's post, we bring you the stories of three such couples, who find prominent mention in several Hindu scriptures. They are Damayanti and Nala; Devyani and Kacha; and Savitri and Satyavan. Each of these couples was different from the other and came to this Earth with a unique purpose. Interestingly, the common thread that runs through all these stories is that the nayikas (heroines) in all of them are the central characters. They are great legends, who serve as catalysts, driving the very direction of each of these tales. Apart from the message each story brings, these strong, determined women are an inspiration in themselves. They are the torchbearers for every subsequent generation of women, teaching them by example, how they can retain their softness and femininity, while also being spirited, fearless and all-conquering. Let us now examine the lives and times of these three couples and find out what it was that was so special about them. REVISED PROVISIONAL MERIT LIST AFTER 2ND ROUND FOR MBBS/ BDS ADMISSION 2020-21 DATED 08-12-2020 After 2nd round of registration and document verification, the following candidates are provisionally merit listed for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in the academic session 2020-21 under the 85% of state quota seats and NRI quota seats. Any type of error found subsequently due to any reason will lead to appropriate correction of the merit list. The decision of the Selection Committee in this regard shall be final and binding. Any candidate found to have submitted wrong facts or have concealed any fact, leading to entry of his/her name in the merit list shall as such be deleted from the merit list and legal action as deemed proper shall be initiated against him/her.
