Admittance is limited to those wearing badges. Each listing is arranged chronologically by date and time of the activity. The hotel and room location for each session and function are indicated. CONVENTION FACILITIES Fourteen hotels are being used for housing. Sessions and other convention functions are in the Hyatt Regency (headquarters hotel), the Sheraton Grand Chicago (co- headquarters hotel), and the Swissotel Chicago. A map of Chicago indicating the locations of the hotels, an alphabetical listing of function rooms within the hotels, and hotel fl oor plans are in the next section of this book. Registration and Exhibits are located in the Hyatt Regency Chicago (headquarters hotel), Riverside Center, East Tower, Purple Level. The Job Placement Service, Interview Tables are located at the Sheraton Grand Hotel (co-headquarters hotel), Riverwalk A&B, Level 1. Details follow. The $50 per night premium for the headquarters hotel is rebated to ASSA to help cover the cost of the meetings. REGISTRATION Everyone must register including speakers, discussants, and administrators who will be occupying an ASSA hotel room at the convention rate. Identifi cation badges are required for admission to all sessions and activities. On-site and pre-registrants may pick up their registration packets in the Hyatt Regency Chicago (headquarters hotel), Riverside Center, East Tower, Purple Level. On-site registration fee is $115. Full time student registration fee is $45. There is no on-site placement registration nor will there be an on-site message exchange center. All correspondence should take place using e-mail, including interview scheduling, prior to your arrival in Chicago. Freddy Salvatierra, Financial Vice President of Favorita, presented to the group of banks participating in the transaction the results for 2017, achieving sales of US$444 million and EBITDA of US$60 million. This was followed by the celebration, during which the Bladex team had the opportunity to socialize with representatives from the participating banks: Metrobank, Banco Panamá, BHD International Bank, Global Bank, St. Georges Bank, and Multibank. Farmer, J.D., Business Consultant & Writer “Children have a right, as expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, to receive education, and early childhood education (ECE) must be considered part of this right.” A Global Scenario (June 9, 2012) Introduction Early childhood education (ECE) provision is becoming a growing priority. During the past twenty years, Latin America has shown a growing recognition in the provision of educational programs for young children, birth to age eight, is essential. Urban and rural populations intimated in 2009, that many countries utilizing equitable access to quality early childhood programs is often seen by policy makers as a means of achieving economic and political goals (United Nations, 2012). Unfortunately, a pre-occupation with economic and political goals may conflict with the provision of quality programming for young children. Chavez and McConnell (2000) stated, “Early childhood education in Latin America has been fragmented, and in some places nonexistent. In general, those that are able to afford it place their children in private preschool programs or hire a staff person, servant, or babysitter to provide the daily custodial care for the child”. (p. 159) In a number of Latin American countries provisions for educating young children exist as intent to provide quality services.

In this paper, we mobilize newly available historical series from the World Inequality Database to construct world income distribution estimates from 1820 to 2020. We find that the level of global income inequality has always been very large, reflecting the persistence of a highly hierarchical world economic system. Global inequality increased between 1820 and 1910, in the context of the rise of Western dominance and colonial empires, and then stabilized at a very high level between 1910 and 2020.
