Alpha Gamma Delta The Alpha Gamma Delta Purpose: To gain understanding that wisdom may be vouchsafed to me. To develop and prize health and vigor of body. To cultivate acquaintance with many whom I meet. To cherish friendships with but a chosen few and to study the perfecting of those friendships. To welcome the opportunity of contributing to the world’s work in the community where I am placed because of the joy of service thereby bestowed and the talent of leadership multiplied. To honor my home, my country, my religious faith. To hold truth inviolable, sincerity essential, kindness invaluable. To covet beauty in environment, manner, word and thought. To possess high ideals and to attain somewhat unto them. This shall be my purpose that those who know me may esteem Alpha Gamma Delta for her attainments, revere her for her purposes and love her for her Womanhood. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women., to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of Service to All Mankind. Delta Sigma Phi Delta Sigma Phi is the first national social fraternity to be chartered on Eastern Michigan University's Campus. The fraternity strives to follow our motto "Better Men, Better Lives" and our values "Culture, Harmony, and Friendship" by providing resources, networking opportunities, philanthropy, community service, and friendships through brotherhood. Omega Phi Alpha. Omega Phi Alpha is the only National Service Sorority on Eastern Michigan University's campus. Our cardinal principles are friendship, leadership, and service. We promote service to the university community, community at large, members of the sorority, and nations of the world. Phi Sigma Kappa An organization dedicated to our 3 Cardinal Principles: Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Character; and to also live as brothers according to our fraternity's Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Sigma Kappa The purpose of Sigma Kappa is to provide women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual, and spiritual development by bringing women together to positively impact our communities. Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc. We are the only multicultural fraternity on EMU's campus with a focus on brotherhood, scholarship, community service and cultural awareness. Our Mission: To nurture and further a dynamic, values-based environment which utilizes our historically Latino based fraternity as a catalyst to better serve the needs and wants of all people. Tau Kappa Epsilon Our mission as the Delta Pi chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon is to enhance men's lives academically, morally, and socially in order to prepare them for a productive and fulfilling life. Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority Incorporated Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority Incorporated is proud of its strength and desire to provide an open-minded organization. We believe in maintaining a TRUE sisterhood that is accepting of one another no matter what their differences. We are genuine in our attempts to spread multiculturalism and sisterhood to others in and out of our community. College Panhellenic Council The National Panhellenic Conference is the Governing body of 26 national and international sororities, the College Panhellenic Council is the local extension of this organization. Here on Eastern Michigan University's campus, the College Panhellenic Council represents 8 active sorority chapters: Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Sigma Tau, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Zeta, Sigma Delta Tau, Sigma Kappa, Sigma Nu Phi, and Sigma Sigma Sigma.
