    2020 - 2021 Annual Report Introduction The 2020-2021 school year was a record-setting and productive year for the fraternity and sorority community at Western Kentucky University. Membership numbers maintained steady despite COVID forcing fall and spring recruitments to go to a virtual mode. Grade-wise, our All Fraternity Average and All Sorority Average are the highest in WKU’s Greek history for both the fall and spring semesters; both are well above the all-men’s and all women’s GPA. Lastly, the WKU Greek community did a terrific job for the number of service hours (37,000+) and philanthropic dollars raised ($234,000). Recruitment and Membership Our Interfraternity and Panhellenic Council’s main method of increasing and welcoming new members is through Formal Recruitment, which takes place in August. Panhellenic Formal Recruitment in 2020 had 556 women participate in the first round, with 499 women attending Preference (last round). 465 women were matched through the formal process, representing 84% of the women who participated in Go Greek Round (first round). The number registered for recruitment, number attending Preference, and number matched were records for WKU Sororities! 29 women were released through recruitment and 62 women withdrew from recruitment. 418 women were matched with their first choice and 47 women were matched with their second choice. Quota was 49 new members, an increase from 44 in fall 2019. The National Panhellenic Conference approved the automatic reset of Chapter Total at the conclusion of Formal Recruitment, resulting in Chapter Total being set at 156 in fall 2020, compared to 147 for fall 2019.

    ALPHA GAMMA DELTA Accreditation Report 2016-2017 Leadership & Member Development Alpha Gamma Delta members are highly involved across Lehigh. Members earn house points which are documented on individual activity sheets for involvement in organizations outside of Alpha Gamma Delta. Involvement ranges in social clubs, academic organizations, and global organizations. Alpha Gamma Delta has members in Zeta Beta Groups that attend various campus events together. These groups are formed by pairing members across years. The Zeta Beta groups bring together a diverse group of members to give them the opportunity to engage and learn together, as well as the opportunity to discuss experiences at chapter meetings. The chapter members engage in the Alpha Gamma Delta experience. This is a national program set by the organization’s headquarters. The program is split into three experiences. The Alpha Experience focuses on new member education; learning the history and values of the fraternity. The Gamma Experience focuses on membership growth for the two years following, with an emphasis on living out each line of Alpha Gamma Delta’s purpose. Delta Experience is for senior members, helping with the transitional period post college, taking time for reflection on their time in Alpha Gamma Delta and what they want their legacy to be. The committee commends the chapter for having member development that goes beyond new member education. Alpha Gamma Delta’s New Member Coordinators oversee the new member education plan. The coordinators planned for the new member class to engage in events that partnered with other Greek chapters and campus organizations at Lehigh. These included a Break The Silence workshop, a dance workshop with Leela, and a presentation facilitated by the Pride Center with Pi Beta Phi.

    ALPHA GAMMA DELTA Accreditation Report 2017-2018 Leadership & Member Development Alpha Gamma Delta fosters continuous member development through the unique programming of the Alpha, Gamma, and Delta experiences. The chapter incorporated the theme of “being there for another” throughout the year and connected learnings to the Lehigh social climate. The committee commends the chapter on addressing wellness issues and considers this a best practice. The chapter was selected by their headquarters to pilot a revised new member education program. The five week program featured online modules coupled with in-person activities led by the Alpha experience coordinators. The committee commends the chapter on being chosen to pilot an important aspect of sorority membership in addition to the well thought-out implementation. Alpha Gamma Delta is active in both national sorority programming as well as Lehigh leadership opportunities. The chapter sent three members to The Leadership Conference and one to the Chapter Presidents Academy in addition to one LeaderShape participant. Members have been purposeful in sharing lessons to benefit the chapter. The chapter hosted Tina Vansteenbergen at Lehigh as a result of hearing her program at The Leadership Conference. Her talk focused on building genuine connections with women across the Panhellenic community to foster a culture of support and camaraderie. The chapter had one member serve as the Vice President of Judicial on the 2017-2018 Panhellenic executive board. Additionally, one member will serve as the Vice President of Campus Relations for the 2018-2019 board. The committee cautions the chapter to be mindful of the “pledge class” or “PC” identity that exists within Alpha Gamma Delta.
