Drawing inspiration from New York… In creating No 1 The Plaza, architects Allies and Morrison have been inspired by a disparate range of influences. Drawing inspiration from the towers of New York and the previous building “ on site, we looked at stacking the apartments to form a family or cluster of individual towers. By moving the core to the centre of the building, apartments receive the maximum natural light; at the upper levels apartments enjoy double and triple aspects. To enhance the individuality and human scale of the towers, each will have a distinct brick type that will work together as a palette.
