He said “If you check issue 401, from 29 April 1977, you'll note that the Eye was the first place to reveal that was getting ‘a mechanical robot dog, called ’ as a companion.”

Production starts, transmission delayed. The production of Doctor Who series ten began in May 2016 with filming of unknown episodes. However, as in The Wall of Lies 159 (March - April 2016) this SFSA magazine # 33 will be held over for a year before broadcast. ABC retains the life of series deal which guarantees they will have the first option on the series, however they were O u unable to commit when contacted by The Wall of Lies. They also revealed that N t No ow they were taken by surprise by the hiatus and found out when it was publicised by ! the BBC on 23 January 2016.

Incoming producer will begin work in 2018. A similar hiatus in 2009 was because producer and star wanted to move on but incoming producer was not ready to take over until 2010. A compromise was reached with three specials rather than thirteen episodes pro- duced. The hiatus in 1985 was caused by the BBC cancelling a season, with no production for eighteen months.

On 23 April the BBC announced Pearl Mackie had been cast as new companion Bill, possibly as this would not have remained a secret for over a year until the SFSA magazine # 32 series launch.

On 24 April Bob Baker attended an event called An Afternoon with Bob Baker, held at the FAB Cafe in Manchester. He took some questions about the upcoming film K9: TimeQuake. Will there ever be a second TV series in the works? After the film maybe? Bob: “Not that we know of at the moment. It’s a possibility but nothing definite, no.” Bob Baker. Is TimeQuake a direct sequel to the TV series? Bob: “No, it’s something completely new. We’ve left the Tv series behind and its a new adventure for K9.” Is there any chance of K9 Mark I joining forces with K9 Mark III in this The Magellanic Clouds in infrared; Small in lower left and Large at right. “ The Krotons: a review Zoe and Jamie from The Mind Robber, Chameleon Factor 33, June 1986 (edited). When one considers just how popular a writer Robert Holmes is and how good his stories are, it makes one cringe and wonder when one watches this terrible story recently repeated on the ABC. Put simply “The Krotons” is tragic. The special effects are terrible and the acting is very wooden. To be fair though, it should be remembered that this script did not originally include the Doctor and co. Perhaps this made the script somewhat cluttered and forced changes that did not really work. Who knows? ’s Doctor is as humorous and intelligent as ever but this could be a combination of Dicks (script edi- tor) writing the Doctor’s part and Troughton’s will. The same, however cannot be said of Jamie and Zoe who both Robert Holmes: an obituary appeared very bored with the whole thing and who can blame them? Robert Holmes died on Saturday May 24th, 1986.
