The sitcom, which follows Cedric as R&B super-star-turned minister Reverend Boyce “The Voice” Ballentine, is the network’s highest-rated original series among African Americans P25-54 and African American Women 25-54. Over the course of four seasons, the series averaged a 2.20 AA P25-54 rating and a 2.65 rating among AA W25-54. Last season, “The Soul Man” averaged a 1.07 rating among African American P25-54 viewers, up +365% compared to the TV Land prime average among the demo and among AA W25-54, Season 4 averaged a 1.32 rating, up +340% compared to the TV Land prime average. Fueled by his love for wine, Elijah enrolls in a course to become a master sommelier, an elite designation given only to a handful who are able to pass its notoriously difficult exam. It’s a dream that upends the expectations of his father, Louis, who insists Elijah take over the popular Memphis barbeque joint that’s been passed down from father to son since its inception. Elijah struggles with the demands of school and a new relationship, while Louis wrestles with the feelings of his son rejecting the family business until a tragedy forces both of them to slow things down. Written and directed by Prentice Penny (Insecure), and starring Mamoudou Athie, Courtney B. Vance, and Niecy Nash, Uncorked is a hilarious and touching drama about a father and son who have to finally learn to listen to one another. THE INFLUENCE OF CHABLIS In the film, Elijah discovers France and falls in love with Domaine Long-Depaquit in Chablis, a renowned wine district in the North of Burgundy. The shooting of the movie took place partly at the Domaine Long- Depaquit. Remarkable estate covering 65 hectares, the domaine is certified HEV Level 3 (High Environmental Value) and supervised by Cécilia Trimaille, one of the few women to manage a winery in Chablis. The vineyards and the winery which are showcased in several scenes, turned out to be an idyllic setting for the director, Prentice Penny.

Garden cleanup time: do it now Warm fall weather is encouraging many of us to delay putting our gardens to bed, but late September and all of October are the best times to do it. Some tomato lovers leave their plants in the ground in hopes that their green tomatoes will ripen. It's time to give it up. The same is true for peppers and cucumbers and other garden favorites. Pull spent vegetables and annuals and put them in the composter. (Take good- I hope you enjoy this month’s sized green tomatoes off the branches. Put them in brown paper bags or a box. Check newsletter! regularly for mold or rot. Over days or weeks, they will ripen.) You can leave healthy perennials standing.     REHEARSALS BEGIN FOR NEW WEST END CAST OF H A R R Y P O T T E R A N D T H E C U R S E D C H I L D PARTS ONE AND TWO WWW.HARRYPOTTERTHEPLAY.COM Rehearsals began this week for the new West End cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child who will start their performances at the Palace Theatre in London’s West End on 24 May 2017 following the final performance from the current cast on 21 May 2017. Jamie Glover will play Harry Potter with Emma Lowndes as his wife Ginny Potter and Theo Ancient as their son Albus Potter. Thomas Aldridge will play Ron Weasley with Rakie Ayola as Hermione Granger and Helen Aluko as their daughter Rose Granger-Weasley. Playing Draco Malfoy will be James Howard with Samuel Blenkin as his son Scorpius Malfoy. They are joined by new cast members David Annen, Ruthxjiah Bellenea, Danny Dalton, Leah Haile, Rupert Henderson, Elizabeth Hill, April Hughes, James McGregor, Sarah Miele, Jordan Paris, James Phoon, Henry Rundle, Ged Simmons, Mark Theodore, Gideon Turner and Ed White. Original cast members Nicola Alexis, Rosemary Annabella, Phoebe Austen, Annabel Baldwin, Jabez Cheeseman, Morag Cross, Esme Grace, Lowri James, Martin Johnston, Alfred Jones, Barry McCarthy, Sandy McDade, Tom Mackley, Harrison Noble, Ben Roberts, Nuno Silva, Hope Sizer and Joshua Wyatt complete the 42-strong company playing a variety of characters, including seven children who will alternate two roles.
