  • Seaworld Orlando in Florida
SeaWorld Orlando in Florida SeaWorld is a very popular theme park and marine-life zoo in Orlando, Florida. The park hosts many educational programs, shows, exhibitions and other fun experiences, making it immensely popular with families, teachers and students. This 200-acres marine life theme park, is filled with aquatic fun and thrilling adventures. This park is currently being operated and managed by the Sea World Parks and Entertainment, a subsidiary of the Blackstone Group. The smashing success of the first SeaWorld Park prompted the founders to open another park at a different location; the SeaWorld Park at Ohio was opened in 1968, and was soon followed by the establishment of the SeaWorld, Orlando in the year 1973. Orlando was selected as an ideal location due to its pleasant climate almost all through the year. Also, with the opening of the Walt Disney parks, a large number of visitors were already visiting the city. SeaWorld in Orlando, unlike other theme parks has a refreshing landscape, with no broken up themed islands in the park. The main landscaping feature of the park is its pathways with animal enclosures on either side. The main entrance to the park is decorated with lush tropical landscaping, which has a Florida-based theme, a huge artificial freshwater marina, and an iconic lighthouse based on a Shamu theme. The neighboring park, Discovery Cove, along with the SeaWorld, forms a greater entertainment area, which is an ideal destination for vacationers. SeaWorld, Orlando, offers many shows, exhibitions, rides, and park experiences. Live shows, animal exhibits, and the 3D computer animated films at the Theater Dome promise the visitors a great time.

O N E P A G E G U I D E ANIMAL KINGDOM ATTRACTIONS TulipAndSnowflake.com ANIMAL KINGDOM PLANNING MADE EASY! Shows? Rides? Animal paths? What exactly is there to do at Disney’s Animal Kingdom? This one-page guide provides information to help you decide which attractions are right for your family, which ones require advanced planning or FastPass reservations, and what time of day you might want to enjoy each one. In addition to basic facts like minimum height requirements and FastPass availability, this guide indicates whether the queue and the attraction itself are indoors, outside, or covered. Use this information to determine which rides should be avoided in the afternoon heat and rain. Queue interest prepares you for boredom and help you decide which attractions you want to FastPass or only attempt with a short posted wait time to avoid a boring line. Wait indicators give you an idea of the line length that these attractions draw. The attraction types and descriptions provide a basic description of each attraction, how your family might be split up, and just how comfortable those theater seats may (or may not!) be. • Forbes.Com - Magazine Article
Forbes.com - Magazine Article http://www.forbes.com/global/2003/1027/026_print.html Companies & Strategies Joann Muller, 10.27.03 Disney's 4-D technology aims to take the adventure out of building roller coasters. Get this: In the middle of sun-drenched Orlando, Fla. the Walt Disney Co. is erecting a 60-meter-high replica of snow-covered Mount Everest. It's a showcase attraction scheduled to open in 2006 at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. The premise: Visitors board an old mountain railway headed to the foot of Mount Everest. As the train climbs higher into "the Himalayas," it passes thick bamboo forests, thundering waterfalls and shimmering glacier fields. But the track ends unexpectedly in a gnarled mass of twisted metal. Suddenly the train begins racing forward and backward through caverns and icy canyons until riders come face to face with a giant hairy creature--the mythical yeti. It's enough to scare the wits out of Don W. Goodman, who has the job of ensuring that the $100 million roller coaster is finished on time--and on budget. It is a logistical nightmare: Hundreds of workers from independent contractors must simultaneously build the roller coaster and the mountain that contains it. They will erect 1,200 tons of steel and install one and a half hectares of rockwork. Goodman, president of Disney's Imagineering research lab, compares it to assembling a 3-D puzzle. It is difficult to anticipate the conflicts that will arise, say, between workers installing faux rock formations and crane operators erecting steel tracks.
