Nevada Senior Games was established that year. That question was asked of many NSG participants. Answers arrived from coast to coast and from those with birthdates from 1928 to 1968 (a 40-year difference to go along with the 40-year anniversary.) Malcom Telloian, now calling Las Vegas home and still dancing at age 92, was living in Newport Beach CA at the time. The United States was in the middle of a huge recession. Mal was working in bank- ing and real estate lending. Interest rates had gone sky high with 16-18% mortgages and 21% second trust deeds. It caused the economy to slow to a screeching halt. All was not bad for Mal, however. His two daughters married around that time and both his sons were attending universi- ties.
