Porter Robinson & Madeon- Shelter album torrent download Porter Robinson & Madeon – Shelter (Pure 100% Remix) Whoever this dude is, his SoundCloud name is probably the most extra thing I’ve seen in a while. But that’s fine because Pure 100% ‘s remix of “Shelter”, whose original is signed by Porter Robinson & Madeon , is not shabby at all. In fact, it’s high-key amazing. Most remixes have trouble filling in the tight spaces in between the lines of well-written text that make up the original “Shelter” track. So whoever was planning on making a remix of the track really better have stepped up their game in some way or another. Pure 100% accomplishes the task of making a mind blowing remix of “Shelter” by showcasing his ability to smoothly transition between different styles of sound. Clocking in close to seven minutes long, the remix starts off with a wistful, dreamy piano opening; it seems almost cliche. But then the remix starts picking up speed with cutesy, twinkly synth plucks to serenade the original vocals from the actual track. It’s not long, however, before a buildup sends listeners off into a whole different planet of glitchy, future bass synths that add just the right dash of energy. And then… we get to this techno-y, kind of industrial bit that seems so out of place yet so appropriate. Around the five minute mark, Pure 100% takes listeners on a nostalgia-fueled trip down Dance Dance Revolution memory lane. Over the raucous din of production floats the vocals of the original track, like a white cloud looking down over a bustling, diverse city of people with different music tastes. The two electronic music superstars recently converged on the serenelely melodic "Shelter," and in a recent interview they've discussed how the song came together. Early on in their interview with Australian radio station Triple J, Robinson talks about how Madeon's studio looked exactly the way he would have pictured: with a shrine dedicated to The Beatles and another to Daft Punk, apparently. He went on to say that the space was surrounded by bamboo trees, explaining, "A huge chunk of the song and my memory of it is influenced by that very good vibe." In regards to his releases, Madeon went on to explain that he favors the sort of musical endeavor "that isn't expected, that you can consume immediately, that isn’t drowned out in some extensive marketing campaign that overshadows a little of the substance.” Most excitingly, Madeon revealed that the two were planning to perform together as well. "We’re gonna play together live on stage," he said. Porter Weston Robinson (born July 15, 1992) is an American DJ, record producer, musician, and singer from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. As a creator of sound art, I wanted to know what it can do. I tried to find out about the potential field in the overlap between a political aesthetic and a political sonic, between an artis- tic activism and sonic war machines. My point of entry was Steve Goodman’s Sonic Warfare. From there, trajectories unfolded through sonic architectures into an activist philosophy in interactive art. Sonic weapon technology and contemporary sound art practices define a frame for my works.
