Reports of the (i) The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners’ Second Schedule General Purposes to its Royal Charter of Incorporation, concerning the operation of its Committee of Register of Chartered Practitioners Aldermen:

The Court of Aldermen considered a recommendation of the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen, following earlier consideration of a recommendation of the Worshipful Magistracy and Livery Sub-Committee. Company of Environmental Cleaners Resolved:- That the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners’ Second Schedule to its Royal Charter of Incorporation, concerning the operation of its

Register of Chartered Practitioners, be approved.

(ii) The Worshipful Company of Security Professionals’ Second Schedule to its Royal Charter of Incorporation Worshipful Company of Security The Court of Aldermen considered a recommendation of the General Purposes Professionals Committee of Aldermen, following earlier consideration of a recommendation of the Magistracy and Livery Sub-Committee.

Resolved:- That the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals’ Second Schedule to its Royal Charter of Incorporation be approved.

(iii)Revisions to the Court of Aldermen’s Terms of Reference

The Court of The Court of Aldermen considered a recommendation of the General Purposes Aldermen’s Committee of Aldermen following earlier consideration of a number of proposed Terms of Reference – revisions to the Court’s Terms of Reference, which were intended to better reflect Revisions the remit of the Court of Aldermen in respect of its charitable and wider activities.

Resolved:- That the proposed revisions, as recommended by the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen, be approved.

(iv) Openness and Transparency Openness of Proceedings – Court of The Court was advised, by the Chairman of the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen Aldermen, that the matter of openness and transparency in respect of the Court’s business had been considered over recent weeks. A working group of Aldermen had been reviewing different options since the New Year and recommendations thereon were currently expected to come forward in due course and for changes to be implemented in the new municipal year.

Draft Upon the demise of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the Address of Condolence Court of Aldermen RESOLVED, unanimously, that the draft Address of Condolence to the from the Court of Aldermen to the Sovereign (Queen Elizabeth) be AGREED in the Sovereign following terms:-

Upon the May it please Your Majesty, demise of His Royal Highness We the Lord Mayor and Aldermen of the City of , Your Majesty’s loyal and The Prince devoted subjects, address Your Majesty to express our heartfelt condolences on Philip, Duke of Edinburgh the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness dedicated his whole life to the Monarchy, the Nation and the Commonwealth and he had been at your side since your marriage. His affection and support have so evidently been a source of strength to Your Majesty, throughout your long reign.

His life was marked by many great achievements. Prominent amongst these was The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, which has so transformed many young people’s lives. Another was to the World Wildlife Fund where he was International President for 15 years.

Prince Philip was a frequent visitor to the and was renowned for his 42 years as Master of Trinity House and for his enduring patronage of the City

This Court has long served the City of London and The Crown and we pledge our continuing loyalty to Your Majesty.

It was further RESOLVED that the Address of Condolence be transcribed, signed by the Town Clerk by Order of the Court and sent to the Sovereign (Queen Elizabeth).
