Lutheran Service Book Gift and Personal Use Order Request

We’re preparing to order Lutheran Service Book, the new hymnal of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. A number of our members have The Lutheran Hymnal or Lutheran Worship (or both) at home for their personal reference and devotional use. If you’d like to order this newest hymnal for use at home, please indicate below and give it to an usher, put in Pastor’s box, or call him at home by next Sunday. This will allow you to order at the special introductory price of $18.50 and not pay any shipping and handling.

Also, a number of our shut-ins have used these in order to follow the services broadcast out of Sweet Springs, Higginsville, or Sedalia. Others did the same with the St. Paul’s, Concordia services being played in the Good Shepherd Home. Even normally strong and healthy members have occasionally needed to stay home and having a hymnal made it easier to follow these services.

Now, all of these congregations have switched to the LSB, meaning that our members will no longer be able easily respond to the services or sing along with the hymns. So if you’d like to order one or more of the hymnals as a gift for any or all of our members who are unable to regularly attend, please indicate that below.

You may also order a large print hymnal to use here or at home, or by a shut-in. Finally, if you want to defray any of our congregation’s expense for hymnals, companion books such as the music for the musicians, or large print volumes, you may make a gift of any size or order a specific book or books. Already a donor as volunteered to purchase the Altar Book, Agenda, and Lectionaries. If you donate hymnals or other volumes, especially in the memory of loved ones, we will make sure to affix a dedicatory announcement inside the front cover.
