R Rajesh Mohanty | B.Sc. in Zoology - Batch of 2020 Verified Reviewed on 27 Feb 2021 3.0 Placements 1 Infrastructure 3 Faculty & Course Curriculum 3 Crowd & Campus Life 3 The college has average infrastructure and supportive faculty members. Placements: I did my B.Sc. Zoology from this college, which comes under Khallikote University. Our course was divided into 6 semesters, and in the final semester, we had to submit our dissertation. However, there were no placements offered due to the type of our

Most of the students were rather interested in clearing graduation-level government exams, and some went for further studies in different universities. Infrastructure: The college is very old. The infrastructure is not great, and the quality of classrooms is not the best. There was a laboratory with pretty average equipment for conducting practicals. A small library is available with sufficient books for all students. There used to be a canteen, but it was closed down later. But there are many food stalls available nearby, so food isn't an issue. There are well organised hostels, with great food for the hostelers. I can't comment more as I was a day scholar. There is also a boys' common room for indoor games in the college. Faculty: The faculty members were supportive, but the teaching style was not up to the mark. We had to rely mostly on self-studying to score well in the exams. There were only 2 assistant professors, but the rest were guest faculty members. The course curriculum, rather, is well structured and easy for students to prepare well and give a deep insight into our field of study. It does make the students industry-ready.

Other: I went for Zoology because I like it the most and want to pursue a career in it. Learning about organisms and their functioning gives me great pleasure. According to me, the course can be improved by adding more laboratory techniques in the curriculum so that the students get more exposure to various lab methods, which will come in handy while looking for jobs in our field. The campus is enabled with free Wi-Fi, and some spots have great Wi-Fi speed. The campus is in the middle of the city, so students can avail all the facilities. There are various college fests organised at department levels too. Different fests are there in the hostel. Overall, it is a great experience in the college, making new friends and unforgettable memories.

2.4 Placements 1 Infrastructure 2 Faculty & Course Curriculum 4 Crowd & Campus Life 4 Review of Khallikote Autonomous College, Khallikote University. Placements: For our batch, only one or two campus placements are provided during our course tenure. Our college needs to provide more opportunities for students, and it only mentions the names of companies but does not invite them. Students also should not depend on the institution, and they also need to try on their own. You will have a better career in the research field if you are good at studying. Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good here because there is a good department for us, but it doesn't have its own classroom. So, they need to improve this, and I don't know about the current situation, but during my tenure, we faced that issue. I like the cricket match of our department, and it is always memorable. Faculty: Teachers are good here, and I love all the teachers. Teachers are friendly with students, but due to lack of infrastructure, they also adjust to things, which is disappointing. Moreover, they help you how to build a career. Other: For a better scope, I selected this course, but later I found that there is no good infrastructure for this course in this college. However, I enjoyed my entire course, and I am proud of being a part of this institution and pursuing a great course.

M Manjit Gupta | M.Sc. in Computer Science - Batch of 2020 Verified Reviewed on 10 Feb 2019 2.4 Placements 1 Infrastructure 3 Faculty & Course Curriculum 1 Crowd & Campus Life 4 Overall, it is an average university. Placements: As it is a government college, there are no proper placements. Very few recruiters visit the college for placements. Only 5% of students get placed in placement drives. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys are the major companies that visit the campus for recruitment. They offer a salary of Rs. 12,000 per month. I have not heard about any student getting an internship.

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 30-Sep-2021. Infrastructure: The campus is huge, but the building is very old. It is located in the heart of the city. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, but no one can use the Wi-Fi facility. Classrooms are huge and good, but the chairs are too old fashioned. However, the fee charged is reasonable. Earlier, there was a college canteen, but there is no canteen facility available now. Faculty: Teachers and clerks in the college are very helpful. They are well qualified. They lack interest in teaching as the students prefer to teach in the tuition classes. Teaching methods are quite outdated. The teacher to student ratio is 1:80. The course curriculum was really helpful. Other: Many events and fests are conducted in our college. The campus crowd is quite good, but the campus surroundings are crowded and unhealthy. There are various scholarships available in our college, and you can apply for all those scholarship programmes.

The hostel condition is is very bad like they do not have any medical facility and I think government need to focus and extra facilities need to provide student. Faculty: 1. The teaching quality is good and their behavior also. 2. All the courses completed on the basis of curriculum only. Infrastructure: As it is a government university, so the infrastructure is okay. The library is available here. The sports ground is also available for entertainment. The canteen is not that much good as compared to others. Hostel rooms are also okay. I have not faced any issue regarding the infrastructure of the college during my tenure.

3.4 Placements 3 Infrastructure 3 Faculty & Course Curriculum 3 Crowd & Campus Life 3 You can go for this, only if you want a better and great future, and you can achieve. Placements: The companies do come to our college, check for distinctions and ask for interviews. Whosoever is interested, can appear and go through an interview, and can get a chance. Three of my friends got recruited, and now, are serving in the companies. The salaries at first are not that satisfactory, but gradually, it will be increased.

Infrastructure: It is a government college, so don't expect something Hi-Fi, but it is the third largest university in the state, and it is now a university changed from autonomous. Its ground is very healthy and good. There are a big stadium and a gymnasium with indoor and outdoor game courts. Faculty: Never all the faculty members can be awesome, but some are very good and clear everything in detail. The course curriculum is also manageable, and there is nothing like attendance for some subjects. Even though you don't attend the classes, there is no problem in that because you will be marked as present.

Placements: No such placements is there, you have to find it on your own after qualifying. Guidance from teachers is advisable. They provide regular updates regarding any vacancy they come across, it's always better to be in touch with the teachers. University should engage more with corporates for campus placements. Infrastructure: I have never been a part of hostel. Some say it as average and some call it good. I have heard that timing of the hostel is quite disciplinary. Brotherhood prevails in hostel, no ragging is encouraged. Infrastructure needs to be developed with more rooms. Faculty: Faculty is friendly and knowledgeable. But timing of classes is worse. When it comes to project seminar and presentation, they conduct them sufficiently. Faculty is always approachable and friendly. Never hesitate for any suggestion or query. Faculty needs to be provided with microphone for conducting classes.

Other: After B.Com, I was enrolled for M.Com for completing ultimate level of commerce. Course of study needs to be revised and curriculum is so outdated and irrelevant. It needs to be developed as per today's world. Events are organised in energetic and friendly manner. The campus is huge.
