R Rajesh Mohanty | B.Sc. in Zoology - Batch of 2020 Verified Reviewed on 27 Feb 2021 3.0 Placements 1 Infrastructure 3 Faculty & Course Curriculum 3 Crowd & Campus Life 3 The college has average infrastructure and supportive faculty members. Placements: I did my B.Sc. Zoology from this college, which comes under Khallikote University. Our course was divided into 6 semesters, and in the final semester, we had to submit our dissertation. However, there were no placements offered due to the type of our Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 30-Sep-2021. course, and no companies prefer recruiting fresh zoology graduates. Most of the students were rather interested in clearing graduation-level government exams, and some went for further studies in different universities. Infrastructure: The college is very old. The infrastructure is not great, and the quality of classrooms is not the best. There was a laboratory with pretty average equipment for conducting practicals. A small library is available with sufficient books for all students. There used to be a canteen, but it was closed down later. But there are many food stalls available nearby, so food isn't an issue. There are well organised hostels, with great food for the hostelers. I can't comment more as I was a day scholar. There is also a boys' common room for indoor games in the college. Faculty: The faculty members were supportive, but the teaching style was not up to the mark. We had to rely mostly on self-studying to score well in the exams. There were only 2 assistant professors, but the rest were guest faculty members. The course curriculum, rather, is well structured and easy for students to prepare well and give a deep insight into our field of study. It does make the students industry-ready. Other: I went for Zoology because I like it the most and want to pursue a career in it. Learning about organisms and their functioning gives me great pleasure. According to me, the course can be improved by adding more laboratory techniques in the curriculum so that the students get more exposure to various lab methods, which will come in handy while looking for jobs in our field. The campus is enabled with free Wi-Fi, and some spots have great Wi-Fi speed. The campus is in the middle of the city, so students can avail all the facilities. There are various college fests organised at department levels too. Different fests are there in the hostel. Overall, it is a great experience in the college, making new friends and unforgettable memories. A Akash Duria | B.Sc. in Zoology - Batch of 2022 Verified Reviewed on 9 Apr 2020 4.0 Placements 4 Infrastructure 3 Faculty & Course Curriculum 5 Crowd & Campus Life 4 Absolutely satisfied..... Placements: Above 70% of students are placed in Zoology course. You can also give IFS by choosing Zoology as a subject. Above 80% of students got internship in research line. Infrastructure: The buildings are old. It is better if new building is constructed. Other infrastructure are good. Hostel is not so good at fooding and residence. Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. Students are easily attracted towards their course as Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 30-Sep-2021. proctors are treating us well. Doubts are cleared easily. HOD is strict but friendly while teaching. Other: This course is opted by many students because they get easily placement in every aspects. Anonymous | Integrated M.Sc. in Electronics and Telecommunication - Batch Verified of 2018 Reviewed on 14 Mar 2021 2.4 Placements 1 Infrastructure 2 Faculty & Course Curriculum 4 Crowd & Campus Life 4 Review of Khallikote Autonomous College, Khallikote University. Placements: For our batch, only one or two campus placements are provided during our course tenure. Our college needs to provide more opportunities for students, and it only mentions the names of companies but does not invite them. Students also should not depend on the institution, and they also need to try on their own. You will have a better career in the research field if you are good at studying. Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good here because there is a good department for us, but it doesn't have its own classroom. So, they need to improve this, and I don't know about the current situation, but during my tenure, we faced that issue. I like the cricket match of our department, and it is always memorable. Faculty: Teachers are good here, and I love all the teachers. Teachers are friendly with students, but due to lack of infrastructure, they also adjust to things, which is disappointing. Moreover, they help you how to build a career. Other: For a better scope, I selected this course, but later I found that there is no good infrastructure for this course in this college. However, I enjoyed my entire course, and I am proud of being a part of this institution and pursuing a great course. M Manjit Gupta | M.Sc. in Computer Science - Batch of 2020 Verified Reviewed on 10 Feb 2019 2.4 Placements 1 Infrastructure 3 Faculty & Course Curriculum 1 Crowd & Campus Life 4 Overall, it is an average university. Placements: As it is a government college, there are no proper placements. Very few recruiters visit the college for placements. Only 5% of students get placed in placement drives. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys are the major companies that visit the campus for recruitment. They offer a salary of Rs. 12,000 per month. I have not heard about any student getting an internship. Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 30-Sep-2021. Infrastructure: The campus is huge, but the building is very old. It is located in the heart of the city. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, but no one can use the Wi-Fi facility. Classrooms are huge and good, but the chairs are too old fashioned. However, the fee charged is reasonable. Earlier, there was a college canteen, but there is no canteen facility available now. Faculty: Teachers and clerks in the college are very helpful. They are well qualified. They lack interest in teaching as the students prefer to teach in the tuition classes. Teaching methods are quite outdated. The teacher to student ratio is 1:80. The course curriculum was really helpful. Other: Many events and fests are conducted in our college. The campus crowd is quite good, but the campus surroundings are crowded and unhealthy. There are various scholarships available in our college, and you can apply for all those scholarship programmes. B B Srikant Patra | B.Com. in Accounting - Batch of 2018 Verified Reviewed on 13 Dec 2019 4.2 Placements 4 Infrastructure 3 Faculty & Course Curriculum 5 Crowd & Campus Life 5 It is a good college in this town for better graduation. Placements: I passed out from this college in 2018, and I pursued B.Com here. About 70% of the students got placed from our college, and our college offered me a salary of Rs. 25,000 per month. Companies like manufacturing organisations searching for financial analysts for a better experience. About 60% of the students got internships. Infrastructure: The campus is huge, and it offers a bachelor of commerce, bachelor of science, PG, +2 science commerce arts, master of commerce, master of science courses. The hostel facility is little good because the food provided was not very tasty. All medical facilities are available here. Faculty: As this is a government college, faculty members are very important. Teachers here are very good and experienced. Study planning is the best here, and all examinations are held peacefully. Students can make a good future by graduating from this college, and also they should have knowledge. Other: I like commerce, so I chose this course for a better future. I wish that our college should provide campus placements. All annual events are organised here, and the campus surroundings are very peaceful.
