This musical theatrical revue features 40 of the greatest songs of the past century, including show stopping classics like “On Broadway,” “Stand by Me,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Hound Dog,” “Love Potion No. 9,” “Spanish Harlem,” “Yakety Yak” and “Charlie Brown.” It celebrates the music of the legendary songwriting duo, Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. Their generation-defining songs provided hit after hit for icons like Elvis Presley, Ben E. King, The Coasters, and The Drifters.

Synopsis: Leiber and Stoller, as much as anyone, virtual- ly invented rock 'n' roll, and now their songs provide the basis for an electrifying entertainment that illuminates a golden age of American culture. In an idealized '50's set- ting, the classic themes of love won, lost and imagined blend with slice-of-life emotions. Char Character acter Description Age Soprano - Strong Mover/Dancer. Walk-Ins will be seen as time permits. All auditioners must provide a current headshot/resume and properly marked sheet music, an accompa- nist will be provided. NO A CAPELLA Prepare 32 bars of a 1950s-1960s pop song. Be prepared to dance! Singing a selection from the show is encouraged. A dance/movement combination will be taught, ladies wear appropriate heels and men bring a dress shoe comfortable for dancing.
