Announcements about staff cuts and artist drops are expected in January. "The integration of these two companies presents a rare opportunity to create an organization that is well positioned for profitable growth," Morris said. "UMG will be a lean, flexible organization that will benefit from economies of scale, while nurturing astrong local entrepreneurial spirit in its management team around the world."
