REV Torjussen Mini Bio,Credits 9-21-18 Composer: Ceiri Torjussen Studio (US) : 001 310 559-6128 | Studio (UK) : 02920 624-669 Mobile : 001 310 384-6851 www.ceiri.com | [email protected] Multi award-winning composer Ceiri Torjussen’s music was described by the Los Angeles Times as a “sudden bolt of creative lightning.” Welsh-born, but based mainly in Los Angeles, his credits run the gamut of independent films, documentaries, network TV, animation and large budget studio films. He is also an accomplished composer of concert and experimental music. Torjussen recently completed scoring the 4-hour, doc-series Pistorius for Amazon, about the famed Paralympic athlete and convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius. Recent narrative film projects include the dark drama All Creatures Here Below, and the horror film Primal Rage (released theatrically in 2018). The psychological thriller Jack Goes Home (starring Rory Culkin and Lin Shaye) premiered at SXSW 2016 and critically acclaimed horror film The Canal, which features a terrifying, experimental score, premiered at Tribeca in 2014. His extensive documentary work includes such award-winning films as Mr. Calzaghe (BBC/eOne), about boxing legend Joe Calzaghe, and Becoming Bulletproof (Showtime, 2015), about disabled filmmakers making a Western. In 2013 Ceiri scored two award-winning films: Test (winner of Outfest and featured at the 2014 Berlinale), a drama set in the 1980s, features a moody, ambient electronic score; and on the other end of the stylistic spectrum, Big Ass Spider! (premiered at SXSW 2013), is a nod to the classic monster-movie scores of the 1950s and features full orchestra with a hard-rock edge. He composed additional, heart-thumping action music for Hitman: Agent 47, Repo Men, Live Free or Die Hard and Underworld Evolution, and orchestral action-comedy music for Scary Movie II. Ceiri (pronounced kay-ree) has been commissioned by groups such as the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, The Vale of Glamorgan Festival and the Henry Mancini Institute. In 2016 his BBC commission Blodeuwedd, for full orchestra, was given its US premier as part of the Hear Now Festival, Los Angeles. His work has been recorded and released commercially and performed worldwide, including the USA, UK, Germany, France and India. He is a dual US/UK citizen.     Craft / Geoff Barrow of Portishead with Ben Salisbury quite dry, quite traditional. I was expecting it might be like ‘The Kids from Fame’. But they weren’t, the vast majority of students wanted to be music teachers! The benefit was there was a brand new recording studio at Newcastle University, and there was only me and one other guy who were interested in using it, so we had the run of it. It was absolutely state-of-the- art, when samplers and digital stuff were just taking off. So that was really my introduction into composing. Music for Film and TV at Bournemouth in the early ’90s was a brilliant course, in that you had your own workstation. You were sat down, you had deadlines, and it was quite pressurised, so was actually quite similar to life as a commercial composer. Weirdly, that was probably exactly the same time Geoff [Barrow] was using samplers to make Portishead’s Dummy. What was your first real break? I came out of Bournemouth with a credit to my name, because I did music for a short film that went on to win an award, and was broadcast on Channel Four. It was directed by a guy called Ben Salisbury Miguel Sapochnik who I’ve worked with since on other short films. Now he directs episodes of DAVE ROBINSON meets the nature documentary composer Game of Thrones! Psychology and Religion: West and East ABSTRACT: The article proposes a reading of Bram Stoker’s Dracula analyzing the imagery in the novel in accordance with the Diurnal Order of the Image (DURAND, 1999), a perspective that encompasses images within three antithetical dichotomies: the theriomorphic and diæretic images (respectively related to an animal archetypology and to the devices and weapons of the hero), the nyctomorphic and spectacular images (related to darkness and light) and catamorphic and ascensional images, which are connected to falling and rising. The conclusion highlights the universality in the imagery Stoker employs in his work, which might explain Dracula’s timelessness and power. O mesmo ocorre com “Vampiro”. São filmes que contém a palavra no título. Se acrescermos os filmes pautados na temática, mas que não trazem “Drácula” ou “Vampiro” no título, a lista se agiganta ainda mais, com películas tão improváveis quanto Martin (1976), Fome de Viver (1983), Procura-se Rapaz Virgem (1985), Os Garotos Perdidos (1987), Um Drink no Inferno (1996), Van Helsing (2004), que mistura Drácula com Frankenstein, Deixa Ela Entrar (2008), Amantes Eternos (2013), e o mais importante de todos, Nosferatu (1922), de F.
